Three of pspds finest assisted me with a piece keeping appointment to move out of my exes home and. Despite the palpable tension and poor communication on the behalf of my ex, the officers were apply courteous and made I believe both of us feel safe and secure in what should be a smooth and painless situation. I appreciate their candid behavior and professionalism.
This police station has taken my situation as a joke. It may possibly just feel that way They know my situation my phone was stolen my passport I'm originally from Canada it's the only ID I have. Also all my HIV meds were stolen. I also think that maybe at the beginning they didn't really understand or know what was going on but I think now with everything things are different. I've actually just spoken to them today and a few days ago so it looks like things can change. Maybe I will have the opportunity to actually speak with the detective and you know show him what I'm talking about
On 4/2/18 I was rear-ended while sitting at a red light. I was hit so hard that I hit the car in front of me. The head rest saved me from a severe whip lash and my seat belt saved me from kissing the steering wheel when I was thrown forward. It rang my bell pretty good and I was dizzy and confused for a while. The police were called and I explained to the officer that I had to get to the airport to pick up my wife in a few minutes. He convinced me that I should let the EMT folks take me to Desert Regional to make sure I was okay. Still confused and thinking only of my wife. He then called the police at the airport and had them meet her plane. One of the officers drove my car to a safe place while another officer drove my wife to pick up the car. She was so shook up that she forgot how to get to Desert Regional so that officer had her follow her to the hospital. Later the first officer came to the hospital to check on me and return all my documents. I can't thank all the officers involved that day enough for the kindness and assistance they went out of their way to help my wife and I. Palm Springs can be very proud of our police force. I know I am. God bless you and thank you for your service. Larry G Miller
On thursday we had a blow out off the freeway. My fiance flagged an officer down to help us. Officer Gil Fernandez of Palm Springs called a tow truck for us in which they wanted to charge 125 bucks, therefore he took it upon himself to call his own AAA and waited with us. I am forever Thankful for his help not to mention this proved to me that all cops are not the same! Thanks again for helping my family and I.
We were in our Oregon home when we were notified that the car in our Palm Springs home was stolen and found crashed down the valley. We called you the Palm Springs Police Dept and you went into our condo at night and called us about the robbery. Your phone calls to us Officer Steed were so thoughtful and re-assuring, and we were most impressed with how you handled the situation. Sincere Thanks for everything you did, your extra calls to re-assure us, and for "simply being there."
First, this is not for political standing in any way, and my deepest condolences go out to these fallen hero's families. But my anger like most of America is at a boiling point. This guy has already been involved in gun violence, why is he on the streets? This is not a gun control issue this is a judge and a system that should have already locked this guy down until he was to old to fire a weapon. Gang violence in the streets, and he gets 4 years, is this a joke? Now there are children without their grand parents and mother. This is extreme heartbreak that no one can fix. This is not our PD, this is our system and the judges that set on the bench and our governor, I hold them fully responsible for this. This guy should not have even been on the streets. It's not safe for mothers to take their children to the park anymore, this has went too far. The PD can only do so much they need the support of the next level up to do their job! Again, I can't imagine the pain these families are going though and this can't continue!
I'm disappointed in the poor quality of this department I have had my car stolen And no arrests were made even when I found the name and address of the person who had done it. And recently My home security cam captured video of a person being brutally assaulted when I called Palm Police Department to come to my home to view the footage they refused to watch it. And last I was contacted by my pool guy my home is being robbed I notified the Palm Springs Police Department two hours later they showed up Amazingly enough my pool guy scared off the would be crook. And at the very time the officer finally arrived at my house the guy was actually robbing the house next-door the officer never thought to look around All facts all true. Yet when my I phone was stolen I was told it was less then $ 1,000.00 So they didn't have time to take a report.
I was feeling unsafe walking sown the street and the dispatcher stayed on the phone with me and took down my info she would need just in case. She made me feel comfortable And protected until I could get to a safe space to call a cab. Thank you so much.
4-19 I was physically assaulted by a homeless woman. I am 58 and was so upset, not injured too bad, but emotionally upset. Officer Cantu and officer Dodd went above and beyond with kindness shown to me, even went so far as to buy me a Jamba Juice and gave me a ride home. These are 2 outstanding officers and a huge thank you! I appreciate all the officers that responded that I didn't see or speak with as they were arresting that woman. Kudos Palm Springs Police Dept.
We were evicted from Exotic Dreams Resort because of a noise violation at 10:00 and the officers were so professional and even set us up with the Hyatt so we could overnight to make it home. Thank you so much!!
