Would be nice if someone from the sleep center would actually return a phone call! I called at 9am and 430pm and still noone called me back!! So I get to have a headache all weekend. Hope they enjoy their weekend and please don't worry about the patients. Grrr
The office staff are complete garbage. The doctors and medical staff are excellent! It's too bad you have to basically fight the receptionist to get anything done since they don't care about you. Expect about 16 phone calls to get anything done.
I am appalled that my father has his test results in and has yet to be called after they removed 1300ccs of fluid off his lungs last week, he is having chest pains and hasn’t slept more than 2 hours a night in pain, and he calls is placed on hold for over 45 minutes and then someone picked the phone up and says they are at lunch and hangs up on him. What kind of treatment is this? I have been patient and tried to bide my tongue but how can you treat people like that, that are suffering? We were referred here after two stints in the ER and seen a GI to rule that out as well. The soonest date is August for cardio but if you have information it would be nice to know and help isn’t that part of your oath in the medical profession?
My husband loves the nurse practitioner Mary Price and he usually doesn't like doctors or nurses. Mary listens to him and explains everything so he understands and she takes time with him. If I could give her more than five stars I would. He would rather see her than the doctor.
My wife is from Poland and has at times a difficult time understanding some people. She was very lucky to have Jennifer Gregory as the tech who gave her the test. Jennifer has the great ability to have her patients understand what needs to happen in order for the test to be complete. She saw how upset she was and took time to find a Doctor who also is from Poland. They were able to talk a little and my wife was very thankful. The test was completed due to Jennifer's people skills.
Dr. Boota, Dr. Sine, and Dr. Payne are the best doctors I could have asked for. They cared for my dad when he was critically ill with covid, on a ventilator in the ICU. They did absolutely everything they could to save my dad, while keeping me updated every step. They are personable and explained things in a way I could understand. They were compassionate and knowledgeable. Unfortunately despite the wonderful care my dad was given, he did not make it. Several weeks later I reached out with some questions and received a call back from Dr. Sine. He took time out of his crazy covid ICU schedule to talk to me and explain things to me, weeks after my dad passed. The time he took for that 5-10 minute phone call in the midst of everything he’s dealing with at the hospital meant the world to me. Dr Payne always spoke to me like I was a family member. She would tell me “if this was my dad, I would do this.” Which I loved. She tried her hardest to figure out why his Co2 levels were going up. She didn’t give up and wracked her brain to help him. Dr Boota is the sweetest man. He made me feel so comfortable and lifted us up. The night we decided to end life support, I asked him the same questions over and over, and despite how busy he was- he never made me feel rushed. He was so sweet and understanding and patient. I can’t say enough about these three doctors. Thank you all so much for everything!! Your hard work is not unnoticed and to me you are all hero’s.
My first appointment with their Pulmonologist. The staff was hurried and seemingly stressed. The MD yawned her way through our interview and apologized several times. I requested an Rx refill from the ND and the MD. The other O2 Rx they called in did not specify the MD's intent for lightweight portable O2 as we had discussed. We started a 5 minute walk as needed for O2 Rx and the ND abruptly handed me off to someone else in the middle of the process, saying she needed to do something else. The new person was impatient and in a hurry also. At checkout they affirmed they had ordered the Rx I needed but my insurance company received no order! I spent several hours on the phone 2 days later with all parties involved in attempt to rectify the problems. They denied that I even mentioned the Rx request and really upset me by asking what other MD prescribed it. OF course I'm not prescribing it myself! If they had imported my record prior to this visit, or even called my previous MD, they would have had all the data they needed. I'm stuck with them til 2019; hopefully I won't need any other service from them. But the Pulmonologist was a sweetie, I really liked her.
Poor communication with family. My husband had issues with oxygen saturation level overnight. He is fine now with his oxygen on but we’re concerned about what is happening at night to cause his oxygen saturation level to drop at night. I expressed my opinion about maybe he’s breathing through his mouth when he sleeps and is not getting the oxygen at night. I did not get to speak with a nurse practitioner or doctor. I’m not even sure the person I spoke with is a nurse. She told me to call 911 and have him taken to the ER. He’s fine now. That is not a good solution to this problem. Thanks for nothing!
I am sorry, must share this and hope will be of se help for others. Both my mother and I have been to this facility seeking treatment...both have found it seriously lacking. My mother was told by the medic, "I don't know why you are on THIS medication?!"...a few months later after he had taken her off of it...and I, her daughter had been asking that he simply renew her prescription, that it had seemed to be helping. ...she wound up in the hospital with pneumonia. Later I tried them again, having some breathing issues, the nurse practitioner Cindy M Steeves, NP had me run around the office... dragging one of her unfortunate lady staff members around, and then told me while I had to sit there wreathing in pain while she told me my oxygen levels were 100%...that it was more likely an anxiety matter. ...So I had to ask, to see if she really knew what she thought she knew, ...and I was curious, why SO MANY people move here and get diagnosed with asthma?...is it related to allergies? She just looked at me for a minute then said that she believed "we" had excellent pulmonologistists....uhuh. And there are not excellent pulmonologistists in other locations? So, made up my mind about whether I would continue with being treated there or not. Wanted to share this with you let others draw their own conclusions... Thank you all and please please take care! Crazy out there today.
Was very disappointed with my visit and seeking someone new. Terrible bedside manner with the MD I was scheduled with this first visit. His constant use of "air quotes" was a bit ridiculous when addressing pneumonia. "Air quotes are often an expression of sarcasm. The CT months prior did confirm it was pneumonia; still unclear of his behavior. Most of all I went back to the PCP this week. The PCP who referred me to this facility and there are no scores listed of the lung function testing to compare the office results from my PCP that were taking previously. However, the NP was wonderful and actually listened to what concerns I have. Hate the MD ruined the remainder of the visit.
