Panera is an expensive place to dine. The food was good and the variety of drinks was a plus. I think the choose 2 thing is an expensive gimmick that you really have to pay close attention to else it does add up quick. Staff was pleasant, place was clean, you can order at the counter or at kiosks or app.
Ordered about $80 worth of food and disappointed. Ordered a Bacon Turkey Bravo sandwich and a Kids Turkey sandwich among quite a few other things and was out of avacodo which o could live with but the turkey is usually chunks of turkey not thin slices that looked like it was bought at Aldi’s $.25 packs. Thin with a hair as a bonus. My daughters sandwich was the same. The chicken noodle soup was all broth. Only thing that was good was the chipotle chicken melt which of course was without avocado and the melt my other daughter received was smothered in onions. Out of 4 meals 1 was decent but missing ingredients and the smoothies were great. Customer service was good and the gentleman was nice at least. Because of the customer service I’ll give them 2 stars instead of 1. We spend more than I care to admit eating out and order from here once or twice a month and it’s been bad two times in a row so we are done here. Unfortunately it’s a trend here lately since the pandemic here in Bloomington.
Ordered for delivery at 5:30pm on a Sunday. Chicken caesar salad, chicken noodle soup bread bowl, and mac&cheese bread bowl. Our food was delivered with no bread bowls, only soup and mac&cheese it a small container and a scribbled note saying there were no bread bowls left, but instead gave us extra bags of chips!! Are they kidding me? No phone call or even a reasonable attempt to include EXTRA soup or mac&cheese. Pathetic service, would not recommend delivery because you’ll never know what you’ll get
Update: Thank you Panera for responding. I revisited in the morning last week & had a proper cinnamon crunch latte, lovely souffle, & was greeted with friendly smiles & timely service. I will return before the new year to try another sandwich & see if another star will be added! I wanted to give them a break, I really did. It's the Sunday after a holiday, I get it, they're short staffed. But after waiting in the drive through over a half an hour I was stuck in the middle, no changing my mind& paying over $18 for a sandwich & a cup of coffee; & my order being wrong & of poor quality, I just can't. I ordered the steak & white cheddar no sauce, I hate horseradish & a large cinnamon crunch latte. The sandwich had barely any toppings, except of course, it was drowning in horseradish sauce. What little meat there was, was a third gristle. I didn't even see any cheese. My latte? Plain coffee with milk, no cinnamon, no whipped topping. I didn't have time to go back & complain, but I really think for my extensive time & money, Panera should make it right; but I didn't get a receipt. I wanted to ask for one but they were already so frazzled & cars were backing up behind me so I didn't. Please get it together, this is one of the better food places in the area, but I won't be spending my time or money there again, anytime soon.
Because of short staffing this store was order online only. This store should just close if that is such an issue. It seems the smart staff have quit already. I saw one of the staff walk out of the kitchen with what looked like a scared and overworked look on his face as he looked at the line of pple waiting for carry out. I had signed up for the first time for the Sip Club and ordered my first free drink. I felt guilty to walk out with a free drink only, so I ordered food. I spent $10+ on one of the new special spicy chicken sandwiches and this is what I recieved. Chicken, mayo+spicy sauce, and bun, none of the toppings. I will never order food there again. I will continue to get the free drinks until July 4. I don't see myself continuing the Sip club once the monthy fee is applied because I won't be able to sit down in the store to get my refills or order food.
I eat at Panera somewhat often. I placed and order online and spent a good sum of money. according to the app my food would be ready for pick up in 10 mins which is about the distance from my house. I sat in the drive through for over 40 minutes waiting to pick up only a few people in line4 to be exact so when I got to the window to give them my name I mentioned the wait and in a frustrated way the team member apologized and said there wasn’t anything she could do. So I waited about 5-6 minutes before receiving my food and everything was ice cold. Here’s the thing I understood that restaurants get busy and they may have been short staffed but don’t tell me my food will be ready to pick up if your wait times are outrageous or close the drive through so inside pick only if you can’t accommodate drive through pick ups. I’m not upset they were busy I am upset that there were not measures taken to provide a good customer service experience when an issue was brought to their attention. my order was not offered to be remade or even a sincere apology and the staff in so many words said get over it and I just spent a lot of money to eat cold soggy food that was not only made poorly but was missing ingredients.Generally speaking I have a good experience and every place from time to time has a bad night however if people are paying as much as we are for soup and salad/sandwiches, they should be taking care of folks a little better.
I was quite surprised at the low reviews of this re restaurant. I have never had one problem with this restaurant the food is always terrific. Never ceases to amaze me how many customers will stop going to a place just because of one bad experience it's terrible. This place is great and even if I get a bad experience I'm going to keep coming back cuz I love the food very very much. And the staff is amazing!!
They have somehow managed to mess up all of our last three orders placed within a very short period of time; once order was stolen, and twice missing half of the items listed. Surely this place used to be better 3-4 years ago.
My whole order was messed up. I modified the sandwich and soup to not have any cheese because I am lactose intolerant and of course both had cheese. I also added tomato and spinach to the sandwich, but the tomato was not added and the spinach was in a cup on the side? Terrible! For the price that you are paying more care needs to be taken!!
We ordered carry out and did not receive one of our sides in the bag. Food is very unseasoned and expensive for what you get. Left feeling sad :
