Pardee Rose Garden

What a lovely rose garden! The upper park was closed but we made the best of things. It made a dull trip to the DMV much more exciting! I can see why someone might want to get married here.

This was quite the surprise- the garden was beautifully laid out: there are so many varieties of roses. It seems like it’s a venue for weddings and other events as well. There are plenty of benches strewn throughout the park. It’s a wonderful place to stop by with a book and spend some time communing with beautiful flora. We spotted this adorable fawn in the park as well. Beautiful. It was definitely a special experience. : There is a map outside the gardens laying out the trails in East Rock park. The map is very helpful to plan your visit. There is a greenhouse as well- it was closed when we stopped by but that might be worth a visit some time as well. Stop by and enjoy the park. :

It's a great garden.. full of rose.. child friendly but not pet friendly.

Nice, urban municipal rose garden. Went at end of June with many roses in bloom. Worth a visit.

Peaceful, pretty perennials and roses with a large arbor. Benches are old but other than that a gem hidden in New Haven.

I go 3 to 4 times every year to purchase flowers for my gardens. I don't recall the caretaker that provided me with a very informative tour of the greenhouses, but I really learned a lot about the plants and flowers, and was thrilled to find just what I was looking for; colorful hanging baskets. I have to also mention the Pardee Rose Garden has a variety of gorgeous roses blooming. Love this place.

Absolutely wonderful place. The gardens are very well kept. During the summer there are many weddings held here. Just love the flowers that border the whole place. And it's not that big.

Gary was a great tour guide, place was wonderful. A nice place to visit and reflect. Also has great plants to buy on Tues and Thursday.
