What Does A Parent Skills Coach Do?
As a Parenting Skills Coach, my goal is to educate parents and caregivers on various, effective techniques for parenting children of all ages. The focus will be on child development, coping skills, boundary setting, appropriate discipline, healthy communication skills, problem solving, time management, stress management, self-care and developing and maintaining healthy parent-child relationships. Other topics can be introduced as needed.
As a Parenting Skills Coach, I aim to deliver high quality care. I am passionate about what I do, I am highly trained and invested in the development of my clients. I will work diligently with my clients until they achieve the goals they set for themselves and their families.
Most clients have eight appointments, with each appointment lasting 1 hour. The appointments are either in-person, via two-way webinar (ie; Skype or Google Hangout) or held through conference calls. The appointments are typically scheduled 10 to 14 days apart to give you time to use the tools we have discussed, although you can request more appointments if you feel it is necessary. The appointments can include spouses, life partners, parents going through divorce, stepparents, grandparents, nannies and caregivers, teachers and counselors. The dynamics of a clients’ session will be specific to the needs of their respective family.
