Artist-run art gallery in Brooklyn, New York
In the airy top floor of a handsome turn of the century Brownstone in Crown Heights, Brooklyn,
Park Place Gallery opens monthly for special exhibitions with guest curators.
Park Place Gallery derives its name from the street it is located on, but it is also a nod to the original SoHo Park Place Gallery of the 1960’s. That creative mecca was formative in the careers of many New York greats including Mark di Suvero, Sol LeWitt, Eva Hesse, Brice Marden, Carl Andre, Al Held, Philip Glass, and Joan Jonas.
Founded in 2017, contemporary Park Place Gallery Brooklyn is directed by the artist Michael Holden. The mission of this Park Place Gallery is to bring forth exhibitions that expand the awareness of contemporary aesthetics through the highest quality of curation and artist talent. The artist-run project is designed to empower artists and curators to inspire the culture they exist within. Park Place Gallery introduces works of emerging artists as well as both nationally and internationally known artists.
Park Place Gallery is a source for valued contemporary works of art at reasonable prices for new collectors to build their collections or established collectors adding to their collections.
