The Parkdale Food Centre is a community food bank serving residents of Hintonburg, Mechanicsville and the Civic Hospital areas of the City of Ottawa.
The Parkdale Food Centre offers food support to residents of the community who are experiencing food insecurity. We are challenging the notion that people living in poverty should be grateful for poor food cast-offs by offering cooking workshops, baking evenings and more "real" whole food options. We are working hard to create a more welcoming, inclusive atmosphere where everyone is valued and respected. Forming strong community partnerships is a vital component of the work we do as we move forward.
We are open 9-3 (Monday-Thursday) and 6pm-8pm (Tuesday only) each week. Our Food Bank operating hours are as follows:
