Parkside Animal Hospital is owned and operated by Dr. Anthony White. Dr. White grew up in Centerville, Iowa. He started out college at Indian Hills and transferred to Iowa State University. Dr. White graduated from Iowa State University with a DVM in 2012. Dr. White is married to his wife, Chelsea. They have 5 children (Madelyn, Grace, Emmitt, Jane and Gus).

Parkside Animal Hospital is a small and large animal clinic. Some of our services include vaccinations, in house lab, radiology, primary care, boarding, embryo transfer, surgery, dental care, 24 emergency, prescription diets, in house pharmacy, house/farm calls, and much more!

Normal business hours are Monday-Friday 7:00-6:00 and Saturday 7:00-12:00. Emergency services are available 24 hours a day at 641-895-6114.

Parking is available on S. 10th street.

Parkside Animal Hospital helped save our puppy! Bluey was hours away from death due to contacting the parvo virus. We arrived at the hospital right at closing time. Dr. White was out on an emergency call but the staff stayed to help get all the information and tests needed for when Dr. White arrived to help us with our emergency. The staff was great. Very caring, professional and understanding as I was very emotional. Dr. White arrived and immediately got us the medicine we needed to help our puppy. After giving him his first shots we immediately saw an improvement. I truly believe we would have lost our puppy if we hadn’t gotten him to Parkside Animal Clinic. It’s been 3 1/2 months and he is happy and healthy. We are so grateful and so is his big brother Riker!
I've been to several other vets before but I haven't been treated as kindly as I have at Parkside. The front desk lady was very kind and made me feel welcome. The technicians and doctor seemed to work well together. I feel like my pets are well taken care of.
Dr. White and staff were all very kind and explained medications and the treatment plan very well!
Having relocated to Iowa just under a year ago after my husband’s military retirement rolled around, I was apprehensive as to veterinary care that would be available in a small community and if our dog would receive the terrific level of care he had been receiving during our years on the east coast. Dr. White came very highly recommend by another military family friend familiar with the area and the veterinarian services available in the community, so Parkside was the first place I looked to for care. I can unequivocally state that my friend’s recommendation was spot on, and I am absolutely thrilled with the care Kinnick has received at the office, both for maintenance care and for boarding, and will continue to bring our veterinary needs to Parkside without hesitation. The kindness and compassion of the entire staff is clearly evident, and we feel so fortunate to have our pet receiving such fantastic care.
I love Dr. White and all of the staff. They are friendly, kind and do a wonderful job with my pets. I have heard complaints about the prices. Truly it is worth it because of the outstanding care they provide. All the staff are wonderful and take their time to complete teaching. Amazing people and the new clinic is beautiful.
The entire staff is awesome. They are caring and helpful. Dr. White provides expert and friendly service. The support staff answers questions and make you feel at home. We trust the care of our pet family members to Dr White without hesitation!
I will never take another of my animals to Anthony White! He does not care about our animals he only wants our cash, I took my dieing cat to him at 4:45 pm in which he stood talking to a gentleman in his exam room until it was 5:00 in which the gentleman stepped out and exited the vet at the same time white stepped out and told me it was a few minutes till he close and becomes emergency hours and would be a minimum of 50$ for an exam, I told him I had 43$ in my pocket and he turned his back and closed the door so what do all of you animal lovers think of a so called doctor like that??? I thought much more of Anthony die to a prior visit I had a year ago wen my cat got ran over he did an after hour exam gave medication and pain medacine for 45$. He had me bluffed I will never take another of my pets to him they are family to me and many others feel the same but to white our animals are just a Payday to him and my God have mercy on his soul.
