The mission of Parkway Playhouse is to inspire, educate, and entertain everyone in the community by providing quality sustainable theater opportunities.

Parkway Playhouse, located in the small Appalachian town of Burnsville, NC, is a haven of theatre talent. While people come to the mountains to escape, Parkway Playhouse is a natural gathering place to connect. Likewise, we are an extension of traditional mountain talents: singing, dancing, and, foremost, storytelling. By giving rise to energetic new voices and through a wide variety of plays and musicals, we invite our audience into experiences that are thought-provoking, adventurous, and entertaining. Together we reimagine the world in every live performance, creating dynamic conversations that will last far beyond the curtain call.

You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown was an amazing Show!!! My whole family from the 2 year old to my husband and everyone in between loved every second! So much talent on and off the stage was displayed! We would love to see it again and can’t wait till the next show we can enjoy at Parkway Playhouse!
We saw Black Comedy yesterday. What a great performance by the entire cast. Very funny and very well directed. We have seen 3 main stage shows and 1 children’s show this year. All have been great. Please get out and support our local theater.
This was our first time visiting this wonderful Playhouse. We saw a great performance of "The Red Velvet Cake War", the actors did an amazing job making the visit well beyond expectations. The theater itself is excellent, the setting and feel in the building takes you back to a much simpler place and time, where the pace of life slows and ones mind and spirit can be lifted. We will definitely be back for more.
Love going to the playhouse, when we’re in Burnsville. Everyone is so friendly. The cast are always great. They are all so talented. Such as asset for the area to have. Hope to see more plays next season.
I can’t say enough wonderful things about this local theatre! I just went to see Red Velvet Cake Wars and was blown away! The show was hilarious! I can’t believe the quality of the talent at this amazing playhouse right in the heart of Burnsville. The facility holds over 250 people and this show pulled in neat that many each night! There are more shows this summer so I bought a season pass!
We opened the 76th Season Premiere last night and it was not a disappointment let me tell you. It was great! The staging, the actors, the seating and the crew were all superb. I will be at the door all season.
FANTASTIC!! Cast did an amazing job. Jenny, Collin and Courtney did a great job as always!
I love going to the Parkway, but was a little disappointed in the 3 plays I attended this season. While I did appreciate the level of production and performances, the subject was not my cup of tea. The first play, Red Velvet Cake Wars was my favorite of the 3. It would be so much better for us and you if when we bought our flex passes we could select our seats for the season, The group of ladies I come with all like to sit in the same section and seats. I look forward to next season and intend to purchase another flex pass.
We live in Hendersonville N.C and have Flat Rock Playhouse but feel Parkway Playhouse is another hidden gem in North Carolina. We so enjoyed The Savanah Slipping Society last night ! The ladies did a wonderful job and the set was amazing! Alesa Bryant was my favorite. Then we saw In the Middle of No Where which I was surprised Alesa Bryant is in this one too and the set was great!
A fabulous young crew where every single member seems delighted to be on stage, shone by their acting, singing and dancing while adding another dimension to each Peanuts character.
