Used to be a great place to get anything I need for house packs. Still great people in there doing their best, but everything’s really changed since the old manager left. Since corporate started to manage Bothell, it seems to me nobody likes working there. Only coming here for odds and ends from now on. If that.
Used this Parr for a deck rebuild during Covid and the staff were always helpful during the many trips I made to the hardware store. I’ve also used them to source materials for fencing and I’ve been happy with the lumber they’ve got.
I drive a delivery truck for Parr and not only are they a great company to purchase your lumber from they are VERY good to their employees. Good to their employees to the point where their employees make sure to be great at what they do in order to show the appreciation for being treated so well. It's hard to find companies that are truly good to their employees in the way that Parr is so not only will you get the best customer service in the lumber industry you'll be supporting an amazing company.
So far-so good. Miker was responsive in getting bid back timely unlike others, respectful unlike yet another--and even--dare I say--HELPFUL. We are mid point at this time..hope it finishes as well as it started. Amended- started out great- watch out once they get your credit card... their lumber package estimate ended up being off by $7000. And I spent thousands more going to Dunn Lumber, etc. to supplement their short falls and mistakes. Explanation given was that their estimator was new and no longer works there. I still got left holding the bag though. Had to call a different Parr Lumber store manager store to get a finalized credit done. Cut relationship short when I found their Hardiplank siding bid of $17,000 will cost me $5500 elsewhere.
I recently visited Parr lumber. They provided great advice as I prepared for an upcoming deck project. Paul was very friendly and helpful. This was a small mistake with the items delivered. Paul jumped right on it and quickly had everything resolved. Great customer service. Thanks to Paul and his colleagues at Parr.
Hit or miss. I usually drop by here rather than Lowes. Sometimes I get what I need quickly - other times the person at the counter is occupied by a needy customer. I rebuilt my deck years ago when this location was a Dunn lumber - before I went in I had drawings and a quantity take off. Probably would be better if people who don't have it together were asked to schedule an appointment or drop what you're doing to help someone else. Just wanted 2x4 hangers last time - couldn't find them, one person at counter busy the other ignoring everyone probably busy too. A quick moment earns a quick buck - make me wait too long and I will leave only so much time on the weekends to get things done back to work Monday.
Horrible customer service. I ordered a bundle of cedar shake siding and when I came to pick it up I had to wait for over an hour as they couldn't find it anywhere. To begin with, I waited for about 15 minutes and nobody came to see me to offer any help. I had to look for someone to get helped. I am really frustrated with this experience. This is the last time I'll ever buy anything from Parr Lumber.
Kepp Parker really messed me up. He came to my job site and got measurements and dipped. He told me there is a week turn around and when I called in a week, he ghosted me. He didn't even send me a quote. Really disappointed. Childish, unprofessional, and the fact that I begged him in a text to help me out and he didn't respond is just really poor manners.
As a framer/contractor in King county for almost 40 years, this about as bad as it gets for framing lumber.
Usually have what I need but the wait time to get loaded is normally 15-25 min. Prices are average tool and hardware selections are specialized. Makita dealers. Some DeWalt.
