I went to Patient First today for a Covid test. Upon arriving I was called for check- in , vitals and the swab test right away. I was very impressed and was certain I’d be out of there quickly. Once I was put in a room I waited close to 2 hours for anyone to come in to give me the results . Once the Dr came in , I was out in 5 minutes . There were not many people there . I was glad to get home so I could rest .
Because I had a sinus headache Sunday morning I tested myself at home for Covid. It was positive, surprise, surprise. So I went to the closest Patient First; Odenton Maryland. Registration was quick and easy, I am a prior patient and the reception clerk called me immediately to finish my registration process. I waited about 15 minutes and was called in for BP, temperature and Covid test. I was sent to another room where I waited for about one half hour. A nurse PA showed up with my "official" covid test results and I was asked if I wanted to take Paxlovid. I said yes and she called it in to my pharmacy. I picked it up later that afternoon and started the regimen: five days with pills while quarantining and five days thereafter with a facemark. Thanks to Patient First I'm on the mend. The staff was terrific, courteous and efficient.
I was absolutely floored with how smooth the experience was. I had no wait time and everyone was professional, helpful, polite. The physician I saw seemed extremely competent. That is not typically the experience I have at other urgent cares. I will be returning.
I have been to the Odenton, Patient First several times for myself and for my kids. I have gotten wonderful service EVERY time! The wait time to see the doctor is a bit long, but some patients take longer than others, and exams shouldn’t be rushed just to have a better wait time. “No appointment necessary” is huge plus. Everything was clean, everyone was professional and friendly. Dr. Sarkar gave me all the info I needed. What else can I say?! It’s all good! I have already recommended them to several people.
My experience was better than I could've anticipated. When you're unwell, friendly staff, helpful nurses, and patient doctors make a stressful circumstance much calmer. I really appreciated how Dr. Zhu took her time to address my concerns; she was knowledgeable, helpful, down-to-earth. I especially appreciate numerous staffers wishing me well: "I hope you feel better, soon!" They all seemed quite empathetic - that was impactful. I appreciate their professionalism, as well, as this helped to keep my and my husband's already elevated stress levels down. Well done!
Staff was considerate and caring, professional and skilled. The facility's processes are efficient and thanks to well a organized and run medical care unit, patients spend less time in the waiting room in comparison to other facilities.
Doctor and staff was phenomenal. Wait time was about 2-1/2 hours start to finish, but understandable due to heavy volume of patients. Overall a good experience and will come back if need arises.
Though I was a bit apprehensive as a walk-in since no appointments can be scheduled, things went pretty quickly. The nurse listened, got me in for an x-ray, the doctor listened, and the diagnosis was as I had suspected. Treated there, and then prescribed the meds that eventually helped clear things up.
My experience at the Odenton location was great. I walked in and registered with no problem. About 6mins later I was being called to the side office to finish registration. Less than 10 mins later I was being seen by the nurse and getting swobbed. The whole experience was about an hour. Great time management.
The doc was good but let me tell you about the rest. Came in and checked in and the lady up front was super rude and disrespectful. Almost made me leave but I was in there late at night and just wanted to get it over with. X-ray, nurse and doctor was nice and well mannered but the receptionist up front is horrible. Also having one doctor on duty is a horrible idea. There was literally about a dozen people waiting to be seen and wait times was over 2 hours. Come on now for a private clinic you guys need to get it together.
