Patient First lives, is its name. A staff member interacted with me within two minutes of arrival as I registered electronically. My intake began the moment I finished registering, and that was standard each step of the way. Triage nurse was ready when intake interview entered. My room was ready. Everyone was kind and thorough. Less than 24 hours am feeling the results of the prescribed protocol. I am ready to make Patient First my Primary Care physician.
They take a long time to serve a customer. so that in the end they only give a recipe. no magazines to read in the 5 hour wait for service. Bad service. Please, bring breakfast lunch and dinner. if you're lucky they serve you in 4 or 6 hours.
Ms. Patterson was very nice and welcoming during my check in process. I felt so bad and she took her time with me. The nurses and doctors are always kind and professional there, by far the best Patient Care in PG County.
I was called within 10-15 minutes of signing in. The facility was clean. The person checking me in was courteous and quick. The nursing assistants and nurse practioner were top notch. The Radiology and blood techs were quick and efficient. They did seem a little short staffed with seeing the nurse practioner/Dr. That was the longest part of my wait. Almost an hour after my tests had been run but once I saw her she was very efficient. She appeared to care about my condition. Took her time explaining and listening to my concerns and I felt confident about her treatment protocols I am greatful for the care I received and overall satisfied. I would recommend thus location and visit again if necessary. Celeste Craig
I came to patient first at 530 pm complaining of difficulty breathing, chest pain, coughing up blood, and no informed them of me passing out earlier. I was taken to triage where some nurse dumbed down my description. She said oh there's chest pain due to respiratory issues. Not cardiac. So with that being said I was placed back in the waiting room for 3 hours. After I became upset and asked why is this taken so long, I would think someone saying they can't breathe and is constantly coughing would be a priority. I was told I was not. To then be told they would have to transfer me to the hospital because they can't treat me there. This caused me to incur an ambulance charge and sent me to the worst, nastiest, dirtiest hospital, where I still waited hours upon hours. I did not feel seen or important. I felt as though my health did not matter.
Upon my arrival the automatic sign in was open. I quickly registered and was called immediately. Weight and temperature were taken. I proceeded to a room in where l was instructed to give a urine sample. I was asked for blood work also. This was done effective and efficient. Shortly after, the doctor returned to explain finding. Everything went well. An item was called in to my pharmacy and l was told to follow up with my PCP. Overall excellent
5 hours later… The staff at this location is very friendly; however, there is clearly a huge communication gap between the staff members that works there. I did not feel like a priority and it took five hours to find out that I had an ear infection. I’m happy to finally understand more about what was causing my illness, but I will not be returning to this location given my first experience.
The nusrses were extremely nice. However, the doctor I saw was so rude to me from the start. She was upset that I didn't go to my primary doctor instead of patient first on a Saturday. This is my first time going to this location. I just got my bill and I see I was charged $71.00 for an "extended hours fee" Never in the multiple times that i've been to patient first have I ever been charged an "extended hours fee" ESPECIALLY that much.
Rude and rushed me like i’m wasting their time. But had me waiting for 30 minutes for a COVID TEST RESULT AND A DOCTORS NOTE. And would talk over me when i’m trying to explain something. I don’t talk a lot but that shown me y’all do this to others which is disrespectful. Customer service is part of your job. I’m nice, I didn’t call them out about it because i work in the medical field but i NEVER treated my patients like that.
Usually I go to the patients first in Olney but Landover was excellent the staff got me a wheelchair right away they were fast efficient didn't have me waiting all day like a emergency room I didn't no they gave my prescription right then keep up the good work for this patient first to be so busy they really surprised me. Love the service
