It is a great place to get a good walk or workout especially in the morning when it is not as hot. I enjoy this place it is also a place where you can play soccer and there is even a place enclosed for your kids to play. There also seems to be an abundance of parking spots. So check this place out I don’t think you will be disappointed.
This park is located off of Hwy 441 between Sumter and Dalzell. It has some great paths for walking and running, dogs are allowed but you must clean up after them. There is a pavilion and a playground for the kids. It also has a lake and some sport complex for Baseball and Soccer.
The park is always clean no matter what time you visit. Scenery is beautiful, they just added a play ground for small kids. They have a concession stand, a softball park, a soccer area as well as a place to hold special events. I love it!!

In the past we have not spent much time here. However, my youngest became a confident bike rider in the past few weeks, and we decide to head there on this past *beautiful* Saturday. First, it was almost empty - perfect for biking with a new rider! Second - they're putting in what looks like will be a great playground!! The park is beautiful. It has lots of ball fields and biking/walking paths that wind around some ponds. I will note that the bathrooms have been locked the few times we have been there pre-Covid.
Too hot to stay for more than half an hour. Nice place. Fun stuff for my grandkids to do. Wish the swings had a sun cover. Playground: Fun stuff for little kids. Younger kids have their own little play area. Needs more swings and they need a cover over it please.

Very nice l love going there to walk!! It's open where I feel like I can breathe, very clean, nice play ground for kids, l really love the side walks the pound's are very nice, lots of places to sit down, lots of good parking lots, and nice place for lunch, riding your bike , it's a great family place!!
First time at the park today. It is a great atmosphere and layout to host multiple outdoor activities. I do not understand why the city of Sumter does not allow fishing in the pond. I recently moved here from NM where there are no public fishing spots and it is a shame that a beautiful pond like this cannot be enjoyed by fisherman. Second mill pond seems to be the only place fishing is allowed in town and there is no parking or access to fish there other than by boat. Sumter city parks should really work on fixing this.
this is a great park for soccer called futball everywhere else in the world and baseball. Bigger than what you think and really impressive. Check it out. Dog-friendliness: Dogs are welcome. I let mine run off leash but when I saw other dogs, I put them on a leash. Why take chances?
