I’ve only had one other bad experience and that was years ago. Until today… I’m used to the guest service of a wash-cut-blow dry taking up to a couple hours. Today it took 3 hours…at what point is a “Learning Leader” supposed to step in and show that customer service/a customer’s time is a priority? The first red flag was after washing when *** said “It’s so much easier to wrap the towel on our mannequins,” as I walked back to the chair with a wet mess of hair & towel. Then after the student cut my hair a simple trim, the learning leader pointed out how it was slanted. Them came the blow drying incident…this student acted and may have even mentioned how she had never blow dried before other than her mannequin. She was totally uncomfortable, had really bad technique, and mentioned she had no idea what she was doing. I wanted to just take the dryer and do it myself. Not to mention she had no interest in showing me the products or recommending anything. I’m always open to that stuff. Sell me something. By the end of this horrifically long experience, I had 2 students and a Learning Leader untangling a round brush stuck in my hair while the 4 of us fake smiled, pretending it wasn’t a complete mess of a moment. I felt bad that I didn’t leave a tip but I spent that tip renewing my parking spot and buying a pint at Katie O’Byrnes to calm myself down afterwards.
I took both my girls here and they did a great job on their hair! I loved it so much I came back and got a perm! Mindy is amazing!!
Took my daughter for the first time for hair service. Wash, blow-out and trim. She's biracial with curly/coil hair type. Service lasted over three hours. Pro is that they were polite, respectful and put in a lot of effort. Con is that they didn't seem to have/used right tools for her hair type. Manikins I noticed had straight type1 hair. As a beauty school this does not represent a diverse clientele.
What a joke! Don’t have any services done here you will literally be in a salon chair for 6 plus hours. The floor leaders teachers are constantly unavailable to provide guidance for the students during the duration of the service. The whole staff and students are constantly on their phones. I could have gotten out of there with the hair color and style I requested within a decent amount of time if everyone was working together and off their phones, instead I sat most of the day waiting in the salon chair while they all chatted together about what they were getting for lunch and checking their phones. There’s definitely a lack of communication with what an expected outcome of your hair will be. They love to upcharge without telling you even if they make a mistake with the hair color they charge for that bowl of color. I saw plenty of upset and dissatisfied customers during my service. Most customers were in disbelief they had been there so long.
It was absolutely wonderful. Abby did my hair she is really good. My hair was down to my waist and I had her cut it to the bottom of my ear. She did a great job. I'll be going back real soon.
I had an amazing experience at Paul Mitchell this morning. I have super Meditterean curls, and I was looking for someone who would listen and hear me since my hair can sometimes be overwhelming. She was gentle and really examined my hair and the type of curl I had, really nice girl. She helped me find the color I was looking for, and her on the floor teacher, Jaime, was super kind as well. She graduates in October, shout out to Christine Jackson! Very professional young lady! Highly recommend!
Loved it. Ask for Shamim or Shaida. Tried a different look n color. What ya think?
What a wonderful place to get your hair cut, talk to happy, caring people and have a great time!! Even my 9 year old daughter gets her hair cut here! Thank you to our new hairdresser, Yanae
I have been getting my hair done here for years with no problem. Today I went in and there was a new "floor leader" who refused to let the sylist do my hair. I have been getting my hair done the same way for longer than she has probably been alive. Let's hope, the students do not follow the "leader" with the way that she presented herself and spoke to me. I will never step foot in this place again. It is too bad, because doing a texture on very long hair is a good experience and she just ruined it. Thankfully, there is Orlo nearby.
Victoria Frankewhich did my cut and color and I absolutely love it, she offered up a color idea and it came out perfect, she’s definitely gonna become a great stylist someday
