Out of all the places I’ve been, my dog has never had a better haircut than she received here. They took their time to help her in every way, even having the patience to work out some mats without shaving her completely. The prices are nothing for the quality of work! I feel like they’ve given my dog a whole new life. We will definitely be coming back here.
I take my dog here just for walk-in nail trims and they’re amazing! $10/trim and all of the groomers do a great job and are so quick. The longest I’ve ever had to wait to get my dog in is 10 mins which is impressive considering it’s a walk in service. The store is also cute and has lots of great treats and accessories for your pet. I recommend Brandon, he is my favorite groomer and so good with my dog Joey!
That's a great place, professional tools to wash and dry your dog. I have an Australian shepherd, and I was able to do an undercoat removal and blowing the rest out. They provide everything you need and it costs only $20. I was happy, my dog wasn't that happy in the begging he hates grooming but he changed his mind after I bought him a few treats and a toy
I've groomed my own dogs intermittently for years and recognize that a 'grooming place' can't consistently produce the same results as the individual groomers each have their own set of talents. My Standard Poodle was striking when I picked her up and it was clear that the groomer was in her artistic element for this classic poodle 'do! The communication on timing could be better at this salon, the pricing is fair but no screaming deal, and my girl had a bit of razor burn, but I understand that happens when shaving a wiggly young dog closely. All in all I'm quite realistically pleased with the results and have tried a few times to make another appointment with the same creative and talented groomer, but it's tough to schedule so far 3-4 weeks out. She must be in high demand! I'd recommend removing any mats at all before sending your pooch in as it takes a lot of time and gets expensive quickly for them to remove them a delaying comb gets them out quickly and easily. The self-wash facility looks lovely - it's clean, practical, and seems to be managed really well, but I have not yet taken advantage of this facility.
Edited to add: I spoke with the owner and he refunded me for the bad haircut. My dog has gotten good cuts there in the past so I will likely try again -- just with a different groomer next time. I'm pretty sure...no...I know I could have done a better job of cutting my dogs hair than the hair cut he got at Paw by Paw a few weeks ago. I'm including some pictures so you can see for yourself how laughable it is. He came home with inexplicable bald spots all over his body and uneven length everywhere else. I've been taking my dog here every 6-8 weeks for the past year or so and it is consistently gone downhill in quality. I've tried to contact the company by email for an explanation/apology but have not heard back. Clearly they only really care about customer's experiences/satisfaction when it's posted on the web for all to see. I'll be taking my $100 every 6 weeks somewhere else. You should too!!
took my dog to the park and within a minute of being there she got super muddy! luckily paw by paw was close by so we stopped in to do the self wash. it was super affordable included shampoo, conditioner, towels, blowdry and my pup was super soft and shiny for the whole week after
Jessica at Paw by Paw SugarHouse hooked our English Cream Golden Doodle UP ! ! ! We have a now 26 week old GoldenDoodle that still had his Puppy Coat and with this being our first Doodle type Pup, we were totally unsure about which cut at which length would be most comfortable for our Pup. Queue Jessica to the rescue ! ! ! Jessica explained the differences between the different lengths and how each length might bode for our Pup....Jessica asked a few questions in regards to our planned Grooming schedule from that point forward and suggested a length that she felt would be most comfortable and pragmatic given Soul's temperament and activity level all while considering Utah's heat during the Summer. Quite honestly, I'm redoing a 1965 Dodge Dart and the Body Shop Builder asked questions that seriously resembled the same questions Jessica asked me about my Pup's "body" and planned look for him.....Jessica is THE REAL DEAL YO' ! ! ! Our Pup looked/looks AMAZING ! ! ! The length, the bathing, the cut....ALL of the services were ON POINT ! ! ! And do I even need to mention that this was Soul's very FIRST interaction with a pro groomer and he flew through it with no issues whatsoever ! ! ! If you have a larger Breed Canine that needs the Hook Up that's NONSTOP - gotta look Jessica up... I actually feel like a Chump letting others in on "the know", as it was almost 3 weeks before I could get Soul in ......and I just know this'll make it harder to get in down the road, but to have Jessica out there putting in the WERK and not be recognized for it - is a straight Chump move in itself and I have no time to NOT send the elevator back down..... Do yourself a favor and get in line for Jessica at Paw by Paw SugarHouse or else you AND your Pup will look like the rest of Utah so-so's population that's cool with being So-So.....I'm not built that way..... and am soooo glad we hooked up with J'mac ! ! ! ! KUDOS Jessica....you have me speaking to fellow Pup owners about my Pup and his grooming more than I care to do so.....smile.....thanks J' Mac ! ! !
We love this groomer! Prices are comparable to what is paid across the street at Petco for a full grooming, but employees are much friendlier and the environment is so chill! You'll usually be greeted by a friendly face and a wagging tail, as the workers' insanely well-behaved dogs are usually behind the counter as well. Our pup always comes back so clean and with a perfect cut. Expect to pay around $50-60 for a full grooming service but I'm telling you it's worth it. The big benefit for me is that I have a friendly somewhat clingy pup and knowing he's not locked up screaming for hours is so relieving. I'm not insanely picky about my dogs cuts, so keep that in mind, but if you're like me and have kind of a vague idea of what cut you want, the employees there are very great at communicating till they have an idea of what you want. These groomers seem to genuinely love their jobs and they'll usually throw in a free treat for your dog at the end of your service! I haven't done a ton of price comparison as far as the products they sell, but I would much rather give a few extra nickels to this local business than to a big cooperation. They also have walk-in services like nail cutting and of course their self-wash, but I'm not brave enough for that and my pup is so energetic I'd rather just lock him in my bathroom. They carry jerky, treats, bandanas, and lots of plushies. I've seen some familiar brands of dog shampoo as well. I look forward to being a regular at Paw by Paw.
First time going and they went above and beyond to groom my 2yo Pomsky who is all fluff and energy. The groomer is just awesome - they advised me on what he needed and connected with my pup from the very first moment. He had some pretty bad knots from camping which the groomer spent extra time working on and the price at the end was so reasonable!!! We will be coming back regularly after this experience
