We celebrated Cinco de Mayo here. This place was amazing until the end of the night. Some bearded guy with a complex was ushering people out the door and threw a cup of water at one of the guys walking out. I'm assuming he's management since anyone with common sense would've fired that guy by now.
Best bartenders in Kansas City! All the bartenders have lots of experience and have been here for years. Very well ran establishment. They have a mechanical bull you can ride as well.
Was leaving the bar and had a half empty beer in my hand. Was not told by the bouncer, a bigger man, to throw it away and he reached across me and grabbed my arm very aggressively without saying a word, spilled it all over me, and threw it away across from my body. As a female, I was extremely uncomfortable being touched like this and do not recommend coming here.
Great atmosphere, awesome waitresses and bartenders, fantastic DJ, best night ever
Started out pretty early on here before it was crowded. Had a great time watching some of the staff come out and do some line dancing! Definitely something I was looking for in a country bar. As the night progressed it got busier and less country and more hip hop/pop with a country song here and there. The dance floor was less dance and more mosh pit. Security seemed to just be towering over us and less friendly than I'm used to back home. I'd like to see the DJ be more engaging with the audience to add some personality to the bar. Pricing wise, the drinks are super expensive.
Absolute worst experience of my life. I was charged $500 to sit in a booth for 30 minutes that smelt of vomit. When I attempt to resolve the issue I was physically assaulted but the manager, Eric, and kicked out. If it were an option to leave zero stars I would. Me and some friends went to PBR to celebrate the Kansas City Chiefs winning of the Super Bowl. We got the largely overpriced bottle service that comes with a booth. Shortly after being sat we all noticed that the booth smelt so strongly of vomit that we were unable to physically stay there. The staff and management knew of the issue with the horrid smell but sat us there anyway with the sole intent of stealing our money. They provide two ‘complementary’ bottles of champagne before we ever mentioned the smell. We were told by put server that the bottles were meant to make up for the smell. They didn’t. I attempted to work out the issue, pay for the few drinks that we were still finishing, and leave. However, the very unprofessional manager, Eric, had no intentions of allowing us to leave without paying the outrageous $500 minimum. Mind you, we’ve had 4 beers and poured 2 cocktails not 15 minutes in at this point. Eric, made the problem our fault even though him and our waitress admitted to knowing of the issue prior to sitting us there. At this point, Eric is speaking to me like a child blaming me all the way up to the point that he physically assaults me and pushes me out the door. Simple put, if you’d like to spend your time in a vomit smelling room that serves over priced drinking and every once in awhile assaults you, PBR Big Sky is just the place for you. What makes all of this worse, is that Eric went ahead and sat another poor group of people in that same spot for the rest of the night. Save yourself the time and money and enjoy any of the dozen other bars in the area as they will all provide a better experience.
Didn't know what to expect as this was my first time going here. But this is a great place. My bartender Rebecca very cute girl, take care of me, and the crew are great. $20 too much, but it was worked. I wish i could do this every weekend. But because of that entrance price, I'll just do this once a month. Otherwise, I would be there like every weekend.
Good atmosphere Great size dance floor Loved the music Had such a great time
Great night except for the bouncer and cops they kept around last night. I've never had a bad experience here until last night. I came back to visit family and the boys and I were having a night out. I put a cigarette out on a trashcan outside in PL and 4 cops surrounded me and tried to place hands on me. All 4 of them then forced me to leave after I asked if I could get my card. I wasn't drunk, or acting rowdy or aggressive, nor was I saying anything disrespectful at all. I've never been kicked out of any place. It was wierd, super over the top, and it really put me on edge. Probably shouldn't keep help around that escalate and bully people, in that business people like that are a liability. I really liked PBR, but sadly I won't be back. That really puts a bad taste in your mouth.
This place us usually very busy and is pretty great on the country vibe. There's a mechanical bull for folks to watch their friends get flung off of and lots of booze flowing. Well worth it if you like an occasional line dance mixed in with your country songs and rock vibes.
