PDK - Dekalb Peachtree Airport

Pretty low maintenance take off today, no real services needed. Only a couple of planes in front of us even with multiple runways under construction.

We have been visiting since my boys were babies. There is a restaurant and a beautiful playground where children can watch the planes land and take off. Anytime we get lucky and meet a pilot there, they talk with my sons and answer their rapid fire questions.

Great place to take the kids and watch a variety of planes and helicopters, just like my dad did with me when I was a kid!

PDK is nice facility close to downtown Atlanta. We were there for the Good Neighbor Day airshow, May 2022, and had a great time.

New airplane hangers being built by probuilders. There is also a public park for plane watching

It was a great experience. Our pilot from Signature Helicopter Tours was fantastic. He was a gr8 help with overcoming my fears.

I walk by here all the time and I must say that it’s really cool seeing all of the different airplanes taking off and flying in for landing too. This airport is privately owned and is rather large. It has Clairmont Road, Buford Highway, Chamblee Tucker Road, and a short portion of Dresden Drive surrounding it so you can imagine how large it is. The CDC is also located on the eastern part of the airport along Buford Highway. The Chamblee Marta station is located right by it too. If you like varieties of all types of aircraft, then you should definitely check this airport out.

Great place for plane watching and photography, on this day that we went there was an airshow going on! How awesome!

One of the last places you can drive up and watch airplanes land and takeoff up close! Our toddler loves this place. But don't go on a day that's too sunny there's no cover!
