I've been going to Blooms by Vickrey for years now and the past 4 experiences I've had have just been seriously disappointing. The previous 3 times before the current one, I was given flowers which just died in the next few days and granted we were given replacement ones everytime we called but I shouldn't have to call every time. This experience took the cake for me though. I had paid 100 dollars for an arrangement which is a lot of money, and had gotten the wrong arrangement delivered. It was very small, looked nice but was the size you could pick up at a grocery store. When I called, the lady on the phone was nice but pushed back in everything I said like I was lying. She mentioned that the price of flowers went up which was bizarre because I was telling her the arrangement has colors I didn't even ask for. After 20 minutes of discussing and arguing, she offered me her number to text her a picture of the flowers which was clearly the only way I was going to get my point across. She had called me back after getting the pictures and to no one's surprise, I had recieved the wrong arrangement and had to wait the weekend to get my arrangement way past my mother's birthday weekend. On Monday, I yet again got new flowers but by the weekend they were dead which tells me this arrangement was made the previous week and just wasn't given to me properly. I get my mother two arrangements a year, 200 dollars here a year but no more. I've given plenty of chances. My mother got flowers from Royers which still looks really good. Disappointment is an understatement which when you see the picture, you will understand. On the left is Vickery, the right is Royers. Both gotten at the same time. The picture with the yellow flowers is what they originally gave me and told me was the 100 dollar order until I sent them a picture this too is dead btw except for the yellow flowers This will be my last time with Vickery. To anyone reading this, they are hit or miss. Sometimes the arrangements are very nice, and sometimes you have bad experiences. For me, this was just the last stop on our journey. I'm giving a two star because of them willing to give me the actual arrangement I paid for.
Fabulous service and quick delivery-- made a beautiful arrangement for a dear friend opening a new business in Harrisburg, and they kindly delivered it on their grand opening day. Highly recommend to locals and to those, like me, ordering to spread well wishes from afar/out of town! Thanks Blooms by Vickrey!
We used Blooms for our wedding and were absolutely thrilled. We had a beer theme wedding so we asked them to incorporate hops into the design that we had bought online and they did awesome. We did our own centerpieces but Mark and his staff put together two beautiful arrangements that they made to fit in barrels that were a part of our arbor. They were beautiful and exactly what we picture- if not better. He also incorporated the hops into my bouquet and all the boutonnieres. They were willing to meet with us several times to make sure it was exactly what we wanted. They were very punctual the day of and great at getting everything set up efficiently. I was also happy that the bouquets arrived in water because it kept them from wilting before picture and ceremony. They stayed beautiful all night long and for days to follow. Everything was perfect and I wouldn't have them change a thing. They were great to work with!
This will be my go to flower shop! The service was wonderful. They allowed me to pick the flowers and the designer did an amazing job. They also helped me pick some gifts candles, soap, etc and card from a local artist. Just excellence all the way. Stacey the designer created a work of art. Highly recommended!
Beautiful store! The staff went above and beyond to create a beautiful corsage and boutonniere for my daughters senior prom. The reaction of my daughters face was priceless. I was in aww with how beautiful the store looks. Definitely visiting again!
Ordered two arrangements for delivery a week apart. The first one was very nice. The second one was very disappointing, as it was more expensive than the first, and looked subpar at best. I expressed my concerns via the contact email on the website, and received no response. As such, I’ll find another florist.
definately would recommend this florist! they were extremely helpful in assisting me on an appropriate arrangement in my price range and even helped in the wording on the card! while i did not attend the service, i received feedback from the family that the flowers were very striking and that their loved one would have been impressed!
I ordered flowers through 1800flowers and the order was filled by this florist as a part of their network. The bouquet was significantly smaller than what was ordered. When I spoke with the florist they rudely informed me that since 1800flowers takes a service fee from the price they make a smaller bouquet. Thats the equivalent of the pizza place making you half a pie if you ordered through Doordash! Dishonest business and will not do business with them again.
Stopped in to grab some mixed flowers and was surprised by how beautiful the shop was. Very helpful staff,excellent selection, great prices. My new favorite flower shop when I am in the area.
My mother sent flowers via 1800Flowers for our 35th anniversary. What was sent looked nothing like what she ordered- very small, wilted and turning brown. She called 1800flowers who passed along the disappointment to this florist. The florist called me and basically said that 1800Flowers didn’t pay them enough to make the bouquet ordered. They were rude and nasty to me on the phone, acting like it was my fault I didn’t get what my mother paid for and that my expectations were too high. Really??? The bouquet on the left is what they sent. It was supposed to be a large bouquet as paid for. Compare what they sent compared to what Lisa’s Floral Shoppe in Newville did as a replacement bouquet of the right. Night and day difference. Go to Lisa’s
