I had never been here, it’s a beautiful place! I fell in love
Loved it! Perfect spot in the shade, right by the beautiful creek. There are extra long picnic tables and BBQ grills. While you are waiting for your lunch to cook, you can play in the large grassy area, roll down the hill, take a stroll under the bridge, or walk down to the creek, where you can rent a kayak or SUP, take the kids for a ride on the train, or just hang out in the shade of a huge tree. The creek is crystal clear and a beautiful blue. Not to be missed.
Always an interesting place. It is free but parking may not be. Wear water shoes as the surface is very rough and river bed is rocky. This is where people bring their dogs to play in the water, experience 420 not the dogs, drink beer, and just lounge in the cool water. There are no lifeguards and there is a strong current sometimes in one spot so, make sure children can swim if you bring them. NEVER bring glass containers. Do bring your swimsuit.
Loved it! This place has an open area in the corner of the park for any kind of outdoor activities from football to flying kites or setting up your own tight rope course that you can also see happening from time to time. Great picnic tables and shade you can barbque under. Right next to the bridge that you can see the parks mini train go threw. Don't be shy, make sure you wave to the passengers on the train.
We rented the area for our wedding. It was a great spot. Close enough to the water, the hike and bike trail, and parking. But it's out of the way just enough that we were not really bothered

Great food selection but I would stay away from the garage bins if you're allergic to bee stings!
Great little picnic spot when it's sunny. parking situation could be better at peak times, also parking is NOT FREE in the adjacent lots.
Dont pay to get into Barton springs, save your money and just chill here. There are trails that lead down to the river area being your 4 legged friend as well.
Super nice place! Lots of places to go and beautiful landscaping!
