My days there Was wonderful and the place is so beautiful. The staff was very friendly and Kindle and algo helpful. If I need a place for overnight stay in that town Willow Grove Park will be #1.
Love this park. Spent a lot of my teenage years here in 2010-2011. Wow, it definitely has changed. It used to be pretty empty back in those days. Now you have to pay $5.00 to go inside to walk it. I think you pay $10.00 to camp, but I'm not sure. Lots of people camping and enjoying the park. I took my dog on a walk and enjoyed it a lot. I saw a mom heron and her babies in a really tall tree, a cute fuzzy catapillar, and lots of friendly locals. Glad to know that hasn't changed.
Have gone camping here about three times now and have always had a good time! The sites are good and the views of the lake are beautiful. Trails are also nice but could use a little work. The restrooms as well could use a good deep cleaning. But besides that it was peaceful and quiet and we had a fun time!!
Windy, boating, not really a hiking destination but there is one which I took photos of
This lake gave me a beach feel, you can swim in the water at your own risk due to no lifeguards, the water is pretty shallow until you reach the island, there were many people walking across to the island to fish. It was $5 a day per car, very nice area. The nights were very peaceful and quiet for the most part.i pitched a tent. There are camping areas for RVs with tables and plenty of open areas to picnic or pitch a tent. I definitely will be going back Playground: There is one play ground area Restrooms: There is a small building with restrooms Dog-friendliness: I've seen several dogs, you have to clean up after your dog Picnic area: There's some tables by the RV camping areas and some close by the water
We love Willow Grove! It's been our favorite place to camp, we've always had a fantastic time. The area is always clean and people are friendly. We meet and see many folks like us who stay at Willow Grove over and over.
Beautiful little rv park by the lake. Very quiet and well maintained. We’ll definitely be back.
It is a beautiful park that is well maintained. We go nearly weekly and love it. My only wish is that the little island, which is fabulous! were more closely watched. It is full of glass bottles and trash. If that gets cleaned up it will be pretty much perfect!
Little more than a mile from I35E and a great stopover if you are a weary highway traveler. Pull through trailer sites, hookups and tent sites make it the perfect place to stop - great birdwatching and right on the lake. Fishing can be good too.
This is a fairly nice park, some decent paths to walk, the dirt paths could use some attention. You have a good view of the water from just about every spot in the park. The spots themselves are mostly just some gravel with redish dirt under it, and this dirt tends to get on everything. Would be a lot better if they were paved. The grass wasn't well maintained, so when it rained it stayed soaking wet for days even with an 80+ degree day. The showers were not kept up well either and were pretty dirty and filled with bugs, so I did not use it. All of that said, the views here are beautiful, the trade off is there's not much privacy in your campsite.
