Hands down the best RV park in the entire US. Yosemite is a close second to this Urban lifestyle location. Hidden Gem and if you are lucky enough to land here l, Do IT!! Cycle Town Lake, Take the kids to Butker park or the central library, enjoy all that Austin has to offer from this walk everywhere RV park. So blessed to make this my home for now….!!
If you're wanting to get as close to the true Austin vibe as possible...this is the place to be! This place is a true Austin classic!!! Location is awesome, experience it fantastic!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Would return without ANY hesitation. Hosts are great! Facilities are well maintained and clean. If you are looking for the laid back, simple, south Austin feel, this is the place!
Smallish park with lots of long-termers. Right in the middle of South Austin south of the river, near Zilker Park. It was probably there long before anything in south Austin was built around it. The short term spaces are roomy enough once you're in, but the roads are not wide. Between the long-term rigs, garden sheds, added-in spaces, and small porches, the place is like a giant game of Tetris. Lots and lots and lots of trees to deal with. Spaces are gravel. There is a laundry room that I saw several people using. Bathrooms were okay. Did not try the showers. Small grassy area for dogs not fenced, but I never saw anyone there. No other amenities. You can only approach it from one direction east side. We could hear the sound of patrons on the patio of the Italian restaurant next door and people on the street, but it didn't bother us. Manager was friendly. They do not take credit cards - cash or check only. Definitely has an Austin vibe. Right next door to restaurants, and very walkable to everywhere. Scooters and bikes for rent all over the place. We camped at Pecan Grove RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
Wonderful location just steps from great restaurants and parks, and dog friendly. We will be back.
Location is amazing. Neat little bohemian and longter community that keeps to themselves and is kind to newbies. Spaces are small but easy to park in even for class A. Wifi is only available in half of the park but 4g/5g is strong with all carriers. Cute restaurants within feet of the park. Only caveat is the management is a little low tek but are sweet as can be. You just have to use your phone die voice and get them during working hours.
Though a little more costly the location was great and the managers were especially friendly and helpful. Look forward to going back. Location allowed for great touring the city. Laundry was inexpensive plenty of machines.
Love, Love, Love this place!!! I found this place while trying to find somewhere near Lady Bird Lake to hook up our Airstream and enjoy the surrounding area. I read reviews and decided we should give it a try. We've stayed here twice already in less than 2 months we couldn't wait to come back, but spots are taken up quick and months in advance and we couldn't ask for a better location. It's a quiet place, neighbors who call it home and temp visitors are very nice and friendly! We take our scooters and enjoy the ride up to Butler Metro Park where there's scenic views of Austin's downtown city scape. We take our dogs with us and love taking them to Auditorium Shores Dog Park, our dogs had a blast here and so did we! Restaurants, parks including Zilker Park all located within walking or short drive distance away from Pecan Grove RV park. Thanks to Bob for the warm hospitality!
This place is all about location. You’re walking distance to a lot of places and downtown Austin. The owner was very accommodating to the fact that I would be arriving late. The place is pretty basic but it’s clean and feels safe. No real amenities but we were not staying there for that. I’d stay here again if I visited Austin. The showers and bathroom are clean. The people that live there long term seem very friendly.
Location location location. Can’t get a better rv spot central to downtown. Bike trail block away, rent/ride kayaks, 2 blocks away, restaurants walking distance and city capital building not far. We biked it there. Appx 10 min. Loved it. People we encountered we amazing as well.
Below is an earlier review. Sadly, the service has gone from five stars to one... or zero. We made reservations then re-confirmed only to be told when we got to Austin 500+ miles from home that they had no record of our reservation and didn't have any room. This also upended other activities we had planned with our grandchildren in the immediate vicinity. Very unprofessional, and it doesn't mean anything for them to have a nice place to stay if you can't trust their word. To borrow from The Who, we won't get fooled again. This place is great! It's less than 0.2 miles from a number of restaurants and food trucks, including the famous Chuy's and just a bit further to Zilker Park... a local favorite. We walked to Chuy's with our dogs and got to-go tacos which were excellent. Pecan Grove has a bath house, free WIFI and laundromat but other than that it's pretty short on amenities, but that's not why you stay there. Very cool r.v. community in the middle of a very cool part of Austin. If you like progressive, eclectic communities you will love this place. Rental bikes are available at the entrance and free electric scooters are near by.
