We had a wonderful orthodontic experience with Dr Bridges and the staff while in braces for two years! They were thorough, and explained everything well. We had no issues whatsoever. The office is clean and modern and pleasant to come to each time. Our next child is now in braces and we are happy to be back with Dr Bridges again!
My daughters time here for orthodontic care was wonderful. The entire staff was always very friendly and helpful. The staff would always see to my questions being answered while we were still in the office. If at any time I was unsure, Dr. Bridges went above and beyond to explain all sides of care.
We have been seeing Dr. Bridges for the past two years for our son’s orthodontics, and they have always been very responsive, and caring throughout this process. We highly recommend PDOVA!
please do not send your children here. my first experience was when i was 3, and i remember being held down and threatened when i begin to cry due to fear during a filling. i remember seeing the drill bits laying out like a torture chamber and crying hysterically, only for staff to tell me they would “use them on me” if i didn’t cooperate. every experience i ever had with them was painful. bite blocks were used and i couldn’t close my mouth, and staff was ignorant to my pain despite the fact i was crying. hygienists are heavy handed and judgemental. the no parents policy is insane. parents- do not leave your kids alone with these people.
BEWARE: updated :read my review and then read their response. My issues is a lack of communication and explaination. Parent is shut out of the process that involves their child ansd is only consulted when it is time to pay. I signed a paper but that paper is just numbers and a procedure. I TRUSTED the Dr to give me information so that I could make an informed decision. This did not happen. They take advantage of parents who want the best for their child. The do not operate in integrity. They only care about making money. You can’t even sit with your child during procedures. I now know why. I was told my child had a cavity, 6 months prior she did not but hey things happen. I was given a statement of work and was told that the Dr recommend laughing gas for the procedure so I thought it was a big deal.BTW I used to take my kids to VCU pediactrics and they NEVER used laughing gas. They knew my insurance would not pay for it so I assumed it was necessary because they told me twice it was recommended by the Dr. Fast forward 2 weeks and my daughter is taken back for the procedure, I asked if I could come, she was nervous, I was told no first red flag.. My daughter came back after 20 minutes to say she was done 2nd red flag . I said that was fast. I was THEN told it was a small wide surface cavity and that they didn’t even need to numb her!! This had never been communicated to me otherwise I would not have paid for the 150 for nitrogen for what!! By that time I already paid but I was also confused as to why I was paying 245 for a filling when I had paid 80 at my dentist to fill 3 cavities. So I call them up they tell me the total bill was 390 that was submitted to the insurance my co pay would have been 50 and the insurance was going to pay 125, which means 175 was all they were going to make. So to make more money the DR. “Recomends” laughing gas on a procedure they didn’t even need to be numbed so that they can make more money. I will never go to a dentist that has such shady practices ever again. Nor will I accept that I can’t go back to sit with my child. Shame on them for taking advantage of parents who will do anything for their kids just to make an extra buck.
Dr. Bridges and her staff are great!! I especially love Ms. Kat she is very friendly and knowledgeable!
We’ve been seeing Dr. Bridges for many years, and she’s done a wonderful job transforming all three of my kids’ smiles into beautiful straight teeth smiles! The most challenging case was kid #3 who just completed Phase II, and we are so incredibly happy with the results!
My children have gone here since they started going to the dentist. Outcomes from orthodontics were great.
This dentist doesn’t even have the decency to call me back with a reason as in to why they cancelled my son’s procedure a week before it was supposed to happen. No sympathy what so ever for their customers. Told me they don’t make any money off military and told me that they will remove me if I come in and try to talk to the dentist. Wouldn’t trust anyone like this with my child. All about the money. My response back to the “owner” don’t come at me with how I review other places. This is my review towards your business considering I had an awful experience. You coming at me doesn’t change the fact that I was treated very poorly. I actually got my son into another dentist the very next day and it turns out that he had an infection and needed put on antibiotics. Thank god someone was able to give my son the care that he needed. Also, whether or not you are affiliated with military, that doesn’t change the fact that I was told you don’t make money off us.
Absolutely fell in love with this dentistry office. The staff are very friendly from the time you go in to the time you leave. They are very informative and make sure you leave knowing all questions and concerns are answered perfectly. This was a first visit for my child, and I think I was more nervous for how she was going to be, then her lol. She did amazing, and I believe it was because of the amazing staff. Dr. Golki was great with her as well, and she was very simple and to the point when it came to explaining things to me, and just over all how she interacted with my daughter. Sometimes a dentist visit can seem scary, just like any other doctor visit, but the staff there were incredible, and really made the visit enjoyable, fun, and nothing to be scared of at all.
