Pender Nursery is a wholesale container nursery located in Garner, NC and owned by Jim and Kathy Deal. The nursery was started in 1945 by L. Dow Pender Jr. as a backyard hobby growing azaleas and camellias. It moved to it's current location in 1970.
Pender Nursery is a one stop shop for horticultural businesses. We carry a diverse selection of plants to fit landscape needs, from trees to shrubs, ornamental grasses and perennials.
Pender Nursery was the 1st licensed grower on the east coast of the greatly sought after Encore Azalea(R). We currently carry 23 varieties of Encore Azaleas in 3gallon and limited number of 7gallon containers. Look for new varieties to be released in 2017 and 2018.
Other national brands we carry include the Southern Living(TM) Plant Collection, The Knock Out(R) Family of Roses, Endless Summer(R) Hydrangea, Gardener's Confidence(TM) collection and Proven Winners(R).
In addition to the national branded programs, Pender Nursery also carries a large number of native trees, shrubs, vines and perennials as well as many plants introduced by the late J. C. Raulston and the JCRA.
Our website, www.pendernursery.com provides a plant guide with descriptions and several pictures of plants we currently grow, or have grown in the past. We leave the descriptions and photos as an online reference guide even if we have quit growing the plant.
