Take photos of everything, especially gas, I was overcharged. Concrete dust on the ramp that's 1/2 inch thick from the previous renter left foot track marks in my new home. After paying over $200 for the rental, fuel and inconvenience, I'll never use Penske again.
Disappointing experience. Reserved a truck with a lift gate on 6/1. Thinking that an email with a confirmed reservation number would guarantee the truck, I soon learned I was wrong. On 6/9 I called to ask a question and they said the truck wasn’t available for the date I needed at all. Something about commercial accounts being a priority. Is there no regard for a customer’s schedule or time? I don’t expect to be a “priority,” but how about tell me that the next time and I’ll determine if booking with Penske is worth the risk. Or, maybe call me and give me even a couple DAYS instead of HOURS to prepare. I won’t make this mistake again.
Terrible equipment... flew all the way from Florida to pick up a rental. Did a quick inspection truck is not even road legal. Had to wait a while to talk to someone about issues so they could fix it. Anyways left the truck and going back to Florida... terrible !
Penske as a whole company does not know their own HOS truck logging system. Not just one location. When you ask about it they have a blank stare. No service person or mgr at local level even knows the app or has it on their phones. Good luck finding a truck to rent with a maintained HOS logging system. It's spotty at best. But the people are nice.
I reserved a truck and the poor people in the office were having a rough day they were awesome and we’re finally able to get me rolling but it was definitely a comical experience thank you Katie you are awesome
This place has the most incompetent mechanic's I have ever seen. They are supposed to maintain our fleet, we dropped a Freightliner truck off for a leaking coolant hose that took 2+ weeks to finish and when they said it was ready and I could pick it up I immediately saw a completely bald drive tire that the mechanic should have seen and replaced but did not, their excuse was "It wasn't on the work order" You Penske are in charge of maintaining our fleet so stop being lazy and take some INITIATIVE. They were supposed to fix a broken electric mirror that did not tilt, they replaced the broken plastic cover but didn't bother to see if the mirror moved, IT DID NOT.
My truck 2020 freightliner went down with a Def pump penske got me a rental the same day and I ended up needing it for 3 more days than expected and they were fine with that. Good truck as a rental too

We experienced a level of professionalism & customer service that is hard to come by, really anywhere anymore at this Penske location! Why Penske doesn't market more aggressively to the DIY mover is beyond me lol! The team at this location are very professional, friendly, polite, and go the "extra mile" to accommodate every detail of your rental, be it near or far, without hesitation. Upfront and honest pricing, no surprises or hidden costs...what you're initially quoted & reserve is what you pay. Nice AAA discount plus active & veteran military discounts, that stack. Very fairly priced additional coverage insurance options, that honestly surprised me, and gave us great peace of mind for our 750+ mile move in a 26' diesel beast WITH an off-ground tow dolly attached. A gentleman in a suit got down on his hands & knees, unprompted, to attach tow dolly chains to secure our car, even though there were service/mechanical employees right there...in more, appropriate attire. Provided invaluable information on exactly how & how not to maneuver the size equivalent of a semitruck we had just rented and explained the physics & natural laws of driving this prodigious vehicle. Plus, it was a brand new 2019 truck that was surprisingly comfortable and had "bells & whistles" you wouldn't necessarily expect for example, Bluetooth, USB & heated mirrors. Cabin was more than spacious with easily adjustable seats & steering column. By far the best moving truck rental service we have ever used and definitely the best priced. Beating their major competitor, you know the one where "U-DIY" by hundreds of dollars and we sacrificed nothing for it. May still buy moving supplies with the other guys, but will only rent a truck with Penske for any future moves!
They said my truck was ready a Week ago. When get there truck won't start. Waiting for day and a half for repairs, truck not fixed. Get back home with the plane.
