Gordon the video on how you treated the lady you evicted was horrendous!! I hope you get fired and find yourself in the same position you POS!!! I only wish I could give you a negative star!!!
The man in that viral video should be barred from ever working with people ever again!!! Psychos like him are what makes society suck for everyone. I hope he gets that exact horrible treatment for the rest of his futile life.
Wouldnt provide simple medical or dietary needs of all people attending there program. Do not donate your money they prove it will be misued.
I worked as an unpaid Social Work Intern for perception programs in 2008. The professors and internship advisors had really built up the NGO as a great place to potentially work and at first it was. The longer I was there I found the less they cared about the research and empirical evidence I was being taught in my Research courses. My advisor who was not a social worker but ironically a nurse would not tolerate conversations about other theories. For example, she complained to my professor about a report that would not even be used in treatment because it was not exactly what she had expected me to write. Theories aside, I’m not sure how I would know what she would want if she’s neglecting to show me. Their negligence in the long run put me in debt because I had to switch majors. I realize now neither the field advisor or intern supervisor really cared if I was successful mainly because of their own pride. Unfortunately it’s their loss because the folks they invite me to help could have used more information on different types of treatment. Here it’s seemed to be a my way or the highway scenario, even with an unpaid, non-practicing intern. Hopefully they’ve since re-examined how it’s being administered.
Go here if you want to be constantly worried whether or not your prescriber will show up for your appointment. Constantly late. As if I don’t have enough anxiety. They add to it! For example, today they mis-scheduled me so I waited for 25 minutes. Then they said he was logging in. Only to tell me he immediately left the room and went to the next appointment because he didn’t “see me.” Stuff like this happens regularly here and they don’t see it as an issue or make an effort to fix it. They don’t care about you. Or your mental illness. Or that refill you need. Left two voicemails to get a refill and didn’t hear back. When my prescriber filled it too early. They don’t care to return your phone calls and the front desk rarely answers. I don’t know who is running the place but it’s getting ridiculous. I would give 0 stars if I could. Too bad the therapists are good. Otherwise I would have left a long time ago.
Absolutely disgusting behavior seeing the way Gordon behaved at that poor woman, what a Karen, this place should not be employing people like Gordon, that woman could've been your mother, sister, wife, daughter etc, I'm angry at his behavior.
This is a combination substance abuse and behavioral health center. It is mostly outpatient but I recall there may be a housing option for women. I have complex mental illness and thanks to the care I have received here, my quality of life has been consistently great for the past year. People here are super nice, so the way I see it, Perceptions is a shining star in Willimantic, a town that I believe has great health care overall compared to most towns.
Good luck getting your prescription filled or reaching anyone when you call. They will send you on a wild goose chase and just ignore your calls or "transfer" you to a voicemail system
From inpatient, to outpatient, to housing perception programs was incredible and helped greatly on my journey. Will forever hold p house in my heart.
