Had a few interesting items that I could see with the lights being off. It's a small place so don't make a special trip to see it,but rather a side trip while going to Sherman.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
The staff do an incredible job bringing the history of this museum to life! Such a rich history in Sherman I never realized before. Lots of local stories from around the world. Or maybe global stories from Sherman? However you look at it. I am looking forward to finding growing ways to help support this museum to keep these stories alive.
Great museum with very friendly and helpful docents working to ensure your visit is top notch! We were the first to use their new tablet information units spread throughout the facility and they were extremely helpful and very user friendly. Simply tap a button and a video recording comes to life the staff members made each recording explaining things that are on display nearby. Many of these tablets were spread throughout the displays, making our visit even more informative. There are far too many displays to take in during a single visit so we will need to come back. Excellent work from everyone, and they even have a Tweet T-37 aircraft on the floor for all to see! Many, many items are there to be touched making it very kid friendly as well. Outstanding full size displays of life at the base when it was first established. If you are in the area this is a MUST SEE location for military/history buffs! Kudos to the staff, thank you!
An absolute pleasure visiting the museum. I was born there and wanted to find some information for my father who was stationed there. ABSOLUTELY WORTH THE VISIT. FILLED WITH MILITARY HISTORY FROM ALL BRANCHES OF OUR MILITARY. The people who work there do so as a labor of love for our country. I salute them.
Went to the Korean War Armistice on Aug 6. Charlie Brown speech was just the best ever. Love that man. So much history.Wait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entryFree
This was a great museum to visit. The volunteers are very knowledgeable. And they give personal tours. Plus they said everything in the museum was kid touch approved. They want kids to play with the displays. This Air Force Base that the museum is based on played a huge role in World War II and the Vietnam war and in Texas. It's a must see museum.
Excellent friendly staff! Plenty to read and explore. Very nice shirts to purchase as well. Highly recommend.
Absolutely worth the visit, the volunteers were such a pleasure and provided a very informative tour of the museum, the articles on display, and the history of Perrin Airforce Base. Set aside some time to take it all in, items range from pre-WWI to Dessert Storm. Make sure to catch a tour with one of the "A" Team members on Fridays! *This museum is available at no cost to you and 100% run on it's volunteers... Please make sure to leave a cash donation so they can continue to provide such an amazing experience!
I love this place. Brings back a lot of memories. Worth your time to visit. Just two pictures. You need to come see it all for yourself
Great little hidden gem of a museum. The staff is super friendly and willing to give you a guided tour telling you about all sorts of different items on display.
