Petco

Went to Petco today because my son said he wanted to buy some gerbils so we went there to see what they had. The girl working there was very helpful and explaining to us how gerbils are happier when they're paired up. She was very knowledgeable and we appreciated the information that she gave us. Always love seeing the animals that they have here and prices are great too especially Black Friday deals!

Brianna was so helpful to me when I was trying to pick out my Betta fish and other supplies. I even called several times to ask questions about water maintenance ect. She was so helpful even when it was obvious she was working the cash register too. With her help, I bought a Male Betta and 3 Gold Dust Molly's for my new aquarium. I've never had fish before, and I'm loving it so far. I was concerned about Betta being with other fish, but they are all getting along very well. Bri is very knowledgeable about many fish. I went somewhere else in East Peoria before going to Petco in Pekin. I was misinformed about a lot of things. I will definitely go to Petco in Pekin for all my pet needs from now on. Thanks Brianna for all your help. I finally named them yesterday. Here's a picture of them. My Betta is Blue Gotti, the biggest Gold Dust Molly is Big Al after Al Capone, Second Molly is Bugsy Malone, and 3rd one is Bonnie Bonnie and Clyde... Guess I went with all "B"s. Here's some pics.

Was looking at fish tanks, they have a wide variety. I wanted to ask a few questions before purchasing, only saw the one worker there, who was talking to some people she knew. I looked around til they left. Then didn't see her at all. When I did finally see her, she was tagging items and looked like she didn't want to be there or be bothered. So, I left. I might try another day or go to another store

Great store. Lots of variety. Workers were pleasant enough, but not much help on the floor. 4 were standing behind the checkouts talking. One was stocking and when I went toward them to ask a question, they left. Easy to find stuff though so it wasn't a big deal.

I went into the store to inquire about things I need for a new puppy. The store staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I was intrigued by the fish and stopped to look. I left with an aquarium and everything I need but fish. I would have gotten those also but need my new aquarium to get set up and ready. I was so impressed by the knowledge this store employee had. I'm coming back for fish.

Going into Petco we're greeted everytime, unless the employees are hdlping other customers which is toally understandable because everyone works hard here. All employees are very helpful when it comes to any questions that we may have as well. Very nice kept up place too

Good place to get your pets and supplies. Employees seem to be pretty nice and helpful. At least every time I have been there.

I asked for help, could not find cat wet, risky cat food and the associate that helped me was very helpful and very nice

Black tanks, they claim its from pekin water, claim they are acid washing tanks, for over a month???, very few fish, even guppies are gone. Spoke to manager???, this is his claim, ROACHES, he claimed they were from melwormes, Ok,OK, NO ,THEY WERE GERMAN RED ROACHES, GOING IN AND OUT OF DRAIN, IN FRONT OF FISH TANKS, ALSO ROACHES IN BIRD SUPPLYS.... Told him if I brought home any hitch hicker I ll have my house sprayed at there expance.. he was not the nices person to speak to at 9:05 AM

We will no longer buy any fish here. Every single fish has died within 2 weeks. We have several different tanks in our home. It is definitely not our tank water. All of the fish we buy from other fish stores has lived for a long time.
