Joe and Kasey were very attentive to all of my children as they planned their dad's service. They went above and beyond in making sure every aspect was handled in a friendly, caring manner. Kasey also worked closely in designing an amazing custom headstone for their dad. I highly recommend Peterson's, they care about the entire process, and most importantly, the family's concerns and needs.

Joe at Peterson's Funeral Home is great to work with. He was attentive, caring, friendly, and respectful. He definitely helped put my siblings and I all at ease when planning our father's funeral. He listened to all of our needs and went above and beyond for all of us. My grandparents also had their services there, along with SO many other family members. We have never had anything less than incredible as far as service goes from them. I highly recommend Peterson's.

I never thought that I would be giving a funeral home a review, but here it goes. The passing of my daughter at the age of 17 was the hardest thing that I have ever been through, but Peterson‘s Funeral Home in Carlisle took care of my family and I throughout the whole process. My family and I wanted only the best to honor of my daughter and that is exactly what they helped us to do. Joe and his team honored every unique request that we had all the way down to making sure that my daughter had just the right amount of perfume on throughout the viewing and funeral. Any funeral home can do the big things, but Joe really made sure all the small details were given just as much importance. Joe helped the viewing to represent my daughter as we were able to have a lot of items out to show her many interests and abilities. He also coordinated all of these items to go to the church as a special request as I wanted people that couldn’t come to the viewing to still be able to see all the things that were important to my daughter. Joe said they normally don’t do that, but again he went above and beyond and made it happen. Joe also took the time to develop an 8 x 10 picture he knew was special to me of my daughter all on his own and also made a photo collage for my other daughter all on his own time and dime. Again it is the above and beyond that sets this funeral home apart. I feel that I have gained a friend through it all verses a business transaction. It has been 2 months since her passing, but Joe is still taking care of our needs as he believes the aftercare is just as important as the funeral. Flexible would also be a word I would describe Joe and his team. We met at my home, at the funeral home in the evening, and even on the weekend so the family could all be together making decisions. Kasey has also been great to work with in picking out her headstone. We are still finalizing the details, but again I have felt heard by Kasey. He has given us options and not pressured us time wise. Poorly handled service, personnel appeared unknowledgeable as to what their job entailed, how to do it right or keeping building clean and maintained properly. I had rose bushes smacking my face as I followed others going to enter the building, they moved into the grassy area to avoid the roses but using a walker, I had no other option without walking clear around to the driveway, which I couldn't do. My overall opinion is I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially a loved one.

Me and my Grandma are from Newburg Missouri, and we didn't have a wat To Iowa for Haps funeral,but we watched on the website. Thank you Peterson Funeral home, my grandmother was very happy. The service was very nice and the website was very easy to use!!!

Awful place. My 2 year old son's dead body, who died in a fire that the fire station failed to extinguish, fell out of the casket. There were maggots all over the place, and they never did anything about it. Worst experience of my life.

Jon and his staff are always very attentive. It is always nice to see a family owned business caring for its own community.
