We offer quality grooming services from a certified professional pet stylist, specializing in AKC Breed Patterns and current pet style trends. We pride ourselves in having a clean environment with top of the line equipment including the Hydrosurge Bathing System, Clipper Vac and a Hydro submersion Tub. Every pet is treated to one on one attention to ensure a pleasant experience. Whether you are looking for style or comfort we can guarantee you and your pet will be satisfied. Petopia strives to be the best in our industry by focusing on the health and happiness of every furry client. We use nationally renowned all natural shampoos, conditioners, and hair products as well as kennel sanitation solutions. Safety comes first in our salon, so every animal is provided a clean spacious kennel with a soft kennel pad, and every station is equipped with a Groomer's Helper. Along with this, we are conveniently located in the lower level of Animal Care Clinic. Appointments are available Monday through Saturday with early drop off and late pick up between 7:30 am and 6:00 pm.
A little about our groomer....
Tanya R. Washburn is a 2007-2008 graduate of the Academy of Dog Grooming Arts in Arlington Heights, Ill. But her "grooming salon" career started long before that at the age of 15. With a love of animals, and experience showing her Jack Russell Terrier she sought out to find a job that matched. So she applied at a bustling grooming shop as a bather/assistant. It proved to be a great job through high school and college so when the decision came to pick a career...She researched grooming school options and went for it. In a short few years she has worked along side some incredible groomers with experience in may aspects of the grooming and showing world. She takes pride in her work by attending numerous seminars and clinics annually, to stay current, as well as maintaining a membership with the National Dog Groomers Association. She values the close working relationship with the neighboring veterinary staff. Her experience working with them and her certification with Canine CPR are a wonderful benefit. She values the relationships built with long term clients and their owners. Her next goal is to begin the rigorous testing process to be a Certified MASTER Groomer.
At home she is happily married to her husband Adam of 4 years, a proud mother of a 3 year old son Payton, two 13 year old Jack Russels Tootsi and Maggi, a 5 year old Japanese Bobtail Cat Bubbles, and a 1 year old Great Dane Gaia. She enjoys traveling, camping, dog sports and obedience, family and friend time, anything outdoors.
