Pharmacy Services Inc. (PSI), created in 1982, is the for-profit subsidiary of the Michigan Pharmacists Association (MPA). MPA is one of the first state pharmacy associations to create its own for-profit subsidiary. PSI is a Cooperative Buying Group that is designed to assist MPA members with insurance, cooperative buying, technology and revenue opportunities. By participating in these programs, PSI earns income that supports MPA activities and advances the profession.
The creation of PSI allows MPA to focus on its goals of advancing legislative initiatives, providing continuing education and promoting professional ethics and practice standards, all while meeting the needs of its members through the operation of their pharmacy business. Participation in PSI programs provides monetary value to MPA, allowing the Association to further its mission.
The mission of PSI is to provide service and buying opportunities of maximum recognizable value to independent pharmacies that will earn profits that accrue to benefit and support the Michigan Pharmacists Association.
