Phi Theta Kappa at San Jacinto College North Campus was founded to promote leadership, integrity, and honor among students. Its goal is to help the college and the Houston community by working with fellow students, faculty, and administration.
Phi Theta Kappa is an International Honor Society of Two-Year Colleges. It was founded to promote excellence and leadership among ambitious and scholarly students. Its purpose is still being executed after so many years in many community colleges around the world.
The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa shall be to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students. To achieve this purpose, Phi Theta Kappa shall provide opportunity for the development of leadership and service, for an intellectual climate for exchange of ideas and ideals, for lively fellowship for scholars, and for stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence.
