Phil Baker is the managing partner of Phil Baker, P.C. where he specializes in DWI/DUI and Criminal Defense. He represents individuals and corporations in cases ranging from single count misdemeanors to complex felony trials. Mr. Baker is a 1990 Graduate of the University of Texas and received his law degree from South Texas College of Law.
Mr. Baker is active in many professional organizations, including, The National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and the National College of DUI Defense.
A courtroom veteran, Mr. Baker regularly tries cases to juries. He has won acquittals in both state and county courts. In addition, he also has obtained numerous no-bills from grand juries on behalf of his clients, including a quadruple intoxicated manslaughter in 2012. In 2008 Mr. Baker reversed an 18-year old felony DWI conviction in Ex Parte W. Thompson on a writ of habeas corpus.
Phil has many interests and talents, including music, flying and sailing. He is an accomplished country fiddler, a licensed pilot and has logged many miles of blue water sailing. Phil resides on the Diamond L ranch near Fayetteville, Texas where along with wife Lisa they raise registered Texas Longhorns.
