Phillips European Restaurant

Phillips European is the perfect lunch spot!! Amazing food, drinks, and endless dessert options! The service was friendly and efficient. I absolutely loved their artichoke appetizer and the chicken french! The carrot cake is also highly recommended!! Every plate was perfectly portioned. I will definitely make Phillips restaurant a regular place to visit whenever I'm in Rochester!

I can't get enough of this place. A unique and nostalgic vibe, their food is delicious and their bakery is top notch. My favorite is the Thai chicken... I've gone here for many years. Especially when I need a break or a little treat, I come here with my best friend for some tea and tort. The Philips European tort "cake bar" was a dream at my summer wedding reception! By far the most delicious wedding desserts and more reasonably priced than any traditional wedding cake.

What a shame. This used to be a great place for higher end meals or an after theater stop. We moved away and came back for a visit after many years. Being able to go there again was something we looked forward to. While the place is the same, and our server was wonderful, the food was an extreme disappointment. The lentil soup was so salty it was on the verge of being inedible. The quiche was also too salty and completely uninspired. The salmon was so undercooked we almost sent it back! Because of our disappointment we did not even order desserts. So sad.

I'm not even from the area and I know this is a hidden gem. The food is phenomenal I had Chicken Dijon, and at an amazing price. Glenlivet for $15 or less a pour. Spectacular desserts. Everything here would've been 3x the price in the city. You will not be disappointed!Food: 5/5

We came here again to celebrate my husband's birthday, we have had their desserts but never actually had a meal. It was wonderful! We didn't have a reservation so we ate at the bar impromptu dinner out but even still, the bartender and service was excellent, the food was on point, and as always the cakes were fantastic. 10/10 would recommend as a date or celebration location.

The chicken and veggie crepes were delicious! Loved the Bourbon Pecan Pie with ice cream. Great evening with a wonderful group of old and new friends . Can not say enough about Tammy H, our waitress. She worked our group of 12 with a beautiful smile and a very pleasant attitude. Tammy was very attentive. Made sure we had everything we needed. It was a perfect evening. Many thanks to Tammy and the cooks who prepared our meals.

OMG!!!! ONE OF THE UTTERMOST FANTASTIC SPECTACULAR ESTABLISHMENTS I HAVE EVER HAD THE PLEASURE DINING AT! From the opening of the door, seeing the freshly baked dessert display with SO MANY CHOICES, to the owner's humbled hospitality, the server's EXCEPTIONALLY PERFECT hosting and serving, and then the bread, appetizer salads, and main entree, just was EXQUISITELY DEVINE! If one could give a place a 10-Star review, this would be the one!! Those scallops were GORGEOUSLY cooked to perfection in my shrimp and scallop primavera. And the Thai chicken and the chicken french.... WOW!!! OH, and the drinks, out of sight DELICIOUS and mixed to Perfectly!! Definitely worth every penny spent!! And will definitely return next time I'm in town!!

I think this is on the the most amazing place to eat if you want upscale atmosphere and food with great service and very reasonable prices. First, they have tablecloths, the space is adorable, welcoming and warm, the staff are helpful, kind and do a great job, the food is honestly done very well. With 7 people, every single item/meal was excellent. I think this place is rare and reminds me of the way restaurants used to show up for their patrons. The desserts that are shown in the case are beyond decadent, fresh and mouth watering. We never leave without splitting a dessert. They have an entire section of vegetarian options. This is top of my list for eats in Rochester NY Vegetarian options: they had at least six options specific to vegetarians and it was delicious. I had the artichoke french over anger hair and it was done to perfection.

First, let's lead with the positive. Staff and service are exceptional. French European desserts are second to none. Secondly, the food is sub par! I tried the vegetable stir fry and ordered the sauce on the side. It was ketchup with a splash of soy sauce. It was horrible. Looked like ketchup tasted like ketchup. Gave me about a 1/4 cup of rice, if that. Don't order it, you will be disappointed! Would stick with desserts. Spinach salad is also good.
