It's been a great experience at Philmore Academy. Our child is happy and loves going to school here. Mrs. Raymore is a great leader with lots of experience. The teachers and staff care about their students & they love on them. The encouragement and support are felt all around which, helps the students to hit their academic goals. The environment is full of positive energy & parent participation is 100%. The curriculum on all grade levels is a high standard. However, it is manageable for students and parents. Our child will enter Kindergarten reading & ready!! If you're currently in search of a new school, not happy with your current school experience, or not getting the ROI at your current private/public school please look into Philmore!!
This is our first year at Philmore and since day one my family and I have been happy with our decision to attend. Our daughter is in kindergarten the classes are small and she has learned and retain a lot of information. The school feeling very personal and you would not feel like number.
Philmore Academy is a phenomenal school. My husband and I were at a loss as to where to send our son for Kindergarten. We are very happy to find Philmore Academy. The teachers, staff, and Principal truly care and invest their time and energy into the students. The curriculum is by far at a high standard, and we absolutely love that.
I enrolled my son into Philmore Academy after he was faced with a tremendous amount of peer pressure in middle school. This school was a blessing to my son and I. He felt immediate relief and is excelling in all his courses. The small class sizes with the single sex classes make it easy for children to learn a lot better. They focus on higher learning and prepare all students for life beyond grade school. The tuition is reasonable and they are willing to work with you when needed. They provide a safe and loving environment for my son, and as he moves into high school...I feel confident that Philmore Academy has prepared him in all avenues.
My daughter came to Philmore Academy after leaving the Montessori setting and it worked out well. My biggest concern was if she was where she needed to be academically. Philmore Academy staff showed my daughter the attention she needed to excel in her academics. The vision of Philmore Academy is one that inspires young people to strive for excellence. In the world we live in today it is important to find a educational setting that your child feels comfortable and is afforded the opportunity to stand out be unique and make a difference in this world.
When we relocated to Atlanta in August 2019 was not an easy one for my family. We knew we wanted a safe, comfortable and great education for our daughter. During our search for schools we came upon Philmore Academy reading all these great reviews, so we decided to make it our first choice and is the best decision we made. But with God's help and his mercies it was productive. We appreciated the care, concern and love that the Principal and staff played in my daughter's education Philmore Academy school instill great morals and provide exceptional education... Gre Thanks very much for everything especially the trust you placed in her when you placed her in grade 6 which was a big step. She made you proud and her family. Let's us continue to work not only as a family but term effort to make Philmore the great and number one.
Philmore Academy has truly been a blessing to my family. When my son started at the school, he was behind in reading and writing, and he did not like school. In less than a year, he has been able to excel in not only the subjects he was deficient, but new talents and loves were brought out that we did not know he had. For example, he actually loves writing but lacked confidence and is an excellent leader and project manager. This school does not focus on just education but whole child development. Every child loves going to school there and never wants to miss a day because the school is truly an educational excellence and holistic child wellness community.
After touring the school and meeting Mrs. Raymore I knew Philmore Academy was the right place for my daughter. My daughter started Pre-K at Philmore in August and she is writing her name, reading sight words, and so much more. Mrs. Raymore and the staff are wonderful.
My granddaughter was a student for 2 years. She got that extra attention needed for her junior high school experience. The teachers took their time, and the children developed into excellent students as well as young ladies and gentlemen. The Principal Sherrie Raymore is caring and attentive. She adds an extra flair of excellence to the school. I applaud the entire staff at Philmore Academy and wish them much continued success.
Words can't express the admiration that I have for Mrs Philmore and Philmore Academy. A home away from home. I felt at home being surrounded by a nurturing and loving staff!!! When the staff say no holding a kid back they mean it. My child soared and had the opportunity to progress effortlessly. I desire much success for Philmore Academy it is a much needed resource for our community!!!
