If we had another hospital to choose then I would definitely not come to Phoebe, unfortunately we don’t have anything. Brought my husband here because his blood pressure was 208/154 and have chest and shoulder pain. It took 2 hours to get out the waiting area. Once back here Dr. Black came in and we love him, he truly cares about his patients. Probably one of the best ER doctors they have. The nurse so far is ok and the personnel staff has been great. Now cleanliness is another story, this is a hospital & it should be cleaned around the clock. No paper towels in the bathroom, toilets are gross, poop smear on the curtain in the room and it’s very obvious that’s what it is. I know every where is short staffed but that shouldn’t be an excuse when it comes to a hospital. Oh and let’s not forget they let a man walk past everyone with his pants hanging off showing all his pubic hair.
Nurses are over worked and stretched way too thin. They do the best that they can. Phoebe needs to stop building new and start fixing what they have. Check the photos below of MICU room 4. There is black mold on the walls and this is the room that they chose to place my husband in when he was diagnosed with pneumonia. Completely unacceptable. Phoebe spends money buying buildings letting them go in disrepair just so that they can be torn down. Instead of spending money this way they should be fixing the hospital rooms that they have.
This place is one of the worst hospitals I’ve encountered. It’s no wonder it has a 2 star review. They are a monopoly and can treat people as they want to. They talked to my mother like she was trash when she was in the ER when she came in for pneumonia and UTI and was having problems with cognition. They told her not to “just think of things to talk about”. I called the 3 rd floor to talk to a RN about how she was. She wasn’t admitted until the late evening so I had to call at night. The person answering the phone on the 3rd floor was cutting me off and getting mad after my second call to check on my mom. Im in Florida and can’t get right to her. I tried to call my mom but she just kept calling my name and dropped the phone. When I called again after being very concerned I was told by a clerk that she is “ok” and “she’s sleeping”. I completely understand that they are busy and most likely understaffed, but to cut me off and not hear my concern is unacceptable. Im sure I won’t hear anything about my mom tonight. I’ll just call patient experience tomorrow. I really hope she is ok.
Never will I allow my mother to go to this hospital again. They pumped her full of Xanax 3 times a day n just snowed her. She has neuropathy and didn't need to be stuck in bed. She could walk before going in the hospital now she can't. She now can't remember things n is very confused , she was not like this before going to this hospital.
Dr. Fennessy is a great Dr.! He and his staff are so nice, friendly, and professional. They always help me. When tests are ordered, the hospital processes my visit quickly and the staff are extremely helpful.
The doctors, nurses and staff on the 3rd and 9th floors are very congenial and and are excellent health care providers. Thank you so much for taking care of our mom. The Robinson family

Are going threw different challenges that. We all facing guide them in Jesus Christ amen
Worst hospital in the south west Georgia. They don't take in to consideration peoples time are more valuable than what they got to offer. And expect the people to do everything digitaly. Like the economy doesn't have enough trust issues doing stuff online. I'll go somewhere else from now on. maybe to a neighboring state. This is the 20th century people get paid by the minute. Not hourly.
My mother is a current patient there. When I entered the room she had on a dirty shirt, had dirty sheet on the bed, used syringes left in the room, dirty bedside table, no towels or washcloths, and old blood on the IV pump! Disgusting!Lastly, her Pure Wic canister had not been emptied and was full!!I am a nurse of almost thirty years and this is unacceptable Phoebe!!
I've been in the hospital for 3 months now because they refused to operate in my heart and then they stick a camera in my room invading my privacy completely. I offered many alternatives to the camera offering the take as many tests as they want every day if need be but they refused so now I have to ask permission to use the bathroom or they'll set an alarm off and have half staff in here this is really how money should be spent... At 33 years old if I don't say hey I'm going to the potty I get in trouble... Here's your tax dollars guys....
