Where able to get in with a reserved table, but I can see why this place is packed! The food came out a few minutes after ordering and was very hot. Not to mention that the service was amazing! never empty drinks and always happy to help. The pasta was very flavorful and had a light, yet impactful kick, if you order the spicy pastas My kids have big appetites and still had to leave with a box! Guaranteed to fill you up with delicious 'Italian done right' cuisine.
After hearing my friends and family talk about how great this place was, I was so excited to finally be able to have the time to try it out! I love all of the vegan options to choose from, and the salmon with the buttered spaghetti squash was amazing! I didn't have anything that was not delicious! I plan to return in the future and try more food selections!
Great food. Waiter Chris was one of the best waiters I have ever had. Informative but not pushy. Checked up on us but not to much. Togo box was filled away from table and type of food and date was written on the box. It was my first time. We will go back.Food: 5/5
Y'all, this place is a hidden gem! Food was reminiscent of the Hill in STL when I was a kid. Maci C executed a clinic on how to be a top-notch server! We'll be back even though it's a 2 hour round trip.Food: 5/5
Our first time here and definitely not our last. The service was excellent. The food was amazing!! They have a choice of sauces on pasta-marinara, Alfredo, or lunch-which is a mix of both and oh so good! We went on a Tuesday evening reservations were made as encouraged and there was live music. A great vibe. I’d say this is a good place for a date night or night out with the girls or just whatever. Great happy hour $3 house wines try the red Italian!. Delicious bread sticks and huge salads to start off the meal. We split a meal and were so full we had to pass on the yummy looking desserts. Piccolo, where have you been? You are my new favorite! I give you five stars! Only because I can’t give you 10!
This was my first time here, but won't be the last!! We were in town visiting family and came in for dinner. I had the pizza and it was delicious! Appetizer of spinach dip and bread sticks were great too! Server was attentive and on point throughout the meal. Would definitely recommend for a family dinner!
So, I heard this place was the BEST Italian restaurant in Missouri... I live about 90 minutes away but was in the neighborhood so I had to check it out. Nice atmosphere & VERY nice staff! Seated immediately, of course it just opened, but the booth seat had a big rip in it and the table setting was placed so that was where I would have been sitting. Sat on the other side and moved everything around. Kelsey my waitress was helpful, attentive, quick and professional Awesome job Kelsey, Thank you! Water came in a glass with a carafe of more water!!! NICE TOUCH!!! Uh oh, problem. No Coke products, only Pepsi. Now if I was just having a soda, it's Pepsi hands down! Actually, Dr. Pepper, but that's a different discussion But how do you have a full bar without Coke? When have you ever or even heard anyone ever ask for a Rum & Pepsi, or a Jack & Pepsi?? C'mon! So went with a Margarita... turned out just kinda meh. Had the Pepperoni Knots for an appetizer. These were good but seemed to be a little too cooked so I wasn't impressed. I've definitely had better elsewhere. Then I went with Tomato Bisque in place of a salad. It was delicious. Definitely had it's own flavor versus other tomato bisques. The breadsticks were soft and hot and melted in your mouth. I'm a big oil & vinegar guy so asked for some. Elsewhere, you normally get brought out a 2 bottle set to do your own. They brought me a small plate with it already on it. I like a little more vinegar than they put, but they added a seasoning to it that put it over the top!!!! Time for the main course, Seafood Cannelloni. It was SSOOOOO GOOD!!! An attractive woman I'm assuming was the manager, please introduce yourself next time, came by a few times to check on things & brought me some more breadsticks. Altogether an EXTREMELY wonderful dining experience... although I wouldn't say BEST in MO. We here in Carthage have a place located at the Precious Moments Chapel called Taste of Italy that I would personally put as better than Piccolos. But if I'm in the area, I will definitely be enjoying Piccolos again!!!
I finally tried Piccolo tonight after hearing all the raving reviews. My friend and I tried to do a walk a couple of months ago, but they would not take us because we didn’t have a reservation. I was looking for a dessert place and this one was on the recommendation list so I made a reservation this time. I’d like to start off by saying that the service was great and our waitress Lexi was very nice. She came to check on us several times and always had a smile on her face. The atmosphere was also great. Our breadsticks were absolutely delicious and buttery and melted in my mouth. Whenever we got the rest of our food, I was less than pleased. My soup came out completely cold. Not even lukewarm. So I did ask for it to be warmed up and watched the kitchen microwave it my table was in a position that I could see this. My husband got a seafood dish. I can’t remember the exact name of it, but I thought the sauce on the angel hair pasta lacked flavor. However, the filling itself with the seafood was actually pretty good that was served with the pasta. It definitely could’ve used a little bit more seasoning. We got the vegan chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting for dessert. I thought the frosting was delicious but the cake had an aftertaste and I just was not a fan of. As having eaten dessert in many many places, I can’t stress enough the importance of not serving a cold cake. Overall not a bad little spot and I’m sure I’ll come back but it won’t be my first choice.
Little noisy. I'm sure that can't be helped. Server was great. Food was delicious. Coffee was cold and water yucky. I'm still giving it a 5. Not everyone cares about water. It was quite busy and our server did a good job keeping up we with us. We were a party of 4. Parking: Had handicap parking available.
It was recommended by a friend. It was our first time there. It was for lunch and I was told Sunday was the only time that they actually did lunch but I'm not sure that's correct. The service was excellent. My wife and I both had a pasta entree and we both rated both dishes very good. It's not plush but it's not bad. I felt the prices were very reasonable . We will definitely be going back and if we get the same treatment this could very well become our favorite go to spot. I definitely recommend.
