I had my child here in 2022, the medical staff gaslighted me into treatment that I didn’t need nor was previously discussed with my physician. They literally told me if I don’t do x then I can leave and have my baby at home because it’s their hospital policy; this was within hours of arriving for a scheduled induction. I asked to see where in the hospital policy this was stated and where I signed agreeing to this treatment- the nurse just left and didn’t address my concerns. The rooms are old and outdated, even the renovated recovery wing is like staying in a motel from the 80’s. When lifting the sheets on the labor bed the padding was stained, even the birthing balls they provided were dirty and appeared to have dried fluid on them. The monitors in each room show vitals and protected health info for surrounding patients on the floor. We disclosed this HIPAA violation to nursing staff and the patient advocate both just brushed off our concerns. The lactation consultants are great wishing the first 12 hours postpartum but after that they aren’t responsive to needs or appointments. The ironic part was having to share meals with my spouse because they aren’t provided for guests of patients- he stayed with me 24/7 due to not trusting the hospital staff. Overall after my birthing experience at this place I strongly encourage women to explore home births. My doula was shocked at the treatment of patients and vowed to never assist a birth at this hospital again. The only saving grace was my l&d morning nurse and recovery nurse- they were amazing, genuine, and compassionate. Beyond that I wouldn’t step foot in this place if I was on fire.
Went to urgent care for allergic reaction to a medication that was given to me in error during a surgical procedure. I had already treated it, but the concern was for rebound and how long it would stay in my sinuses They sent me to the ER for labs to be run and to get to the bottom of whether it would rebound and also why I felt as sick as I did when I had sepsis. Waited in the ER for three hours. The registration staff was nice. The triage nurse was nice that when I saw the nurse and the doctor for 10 seconds, he decided since I had had an ENT surgery that day that it was not an allergic reaction and it was the regular recovery. I have chronic health issues and know myself very well. He made this determination in 10 seconds. Then they told me they were putting me on the fast track to get me seen as soon as possible which is their urgent care . I reminded them that I had just been at urgent care and asked if they be able to run labs give me an IV etc. and I was told to give them my co-pay and that yes they could do all that and I would be the second person in line. After calling back eight of us and my spending 40 minutes watching them Give diagnosis for someone who had been rear ended an hour prior and someone with a rash and a host of other things no one came to help me. I went to the nurse that was sitting at the desk and asked if they had capability of running labs and administering an IV and she said they didn’t do that in the urgent care side. So I told her I was leaving because There was no point in me seeing urgent care a second time. She literally said nothing. I was very respectful and told her I felt like they were blowing me off and that when I say somethings wrong, I may not know what it is, but something is wrong. She still didn’t say a word so I left while I still had the strength to walk out. This place is still so disappointing but it is nice that there’s a few staff members that are caring .
Had a horrible experience delivering my child at the hospital. The lack of care by the anesthesiologist, who administered my epidural was implausible. The attitude that was given to the nurse by the anesthesiologist was uncalled for. I was terrified of having a needle inserted into my back. To be shown little care and concern for my fear makes me wonder why or how this person is in the profession they’re in. I now have nerve damage in my legs from the lack of care shown to me by this one person. The nurses and the other doctors were amazing! Mom‘s pick a different hospital and having a children
Spoke with Ms. Angie from Anesthesia. During our call I expressed how displeased I was with Dr. Kanji’s staff. She took it upon herself to take my discharge packet to him personally because I explained that if she transferred me to his staff no one will answer the phone nor return a phone call. I went into his off on last Thursday because for 2 days I called and not a person would answer the phone. When I walked in people were sitting there on THEIR cell phones and having personal conversations while the phones ring. If it wasn’t for how wonderful Dr. Kanji is I’d find other care because that staff needs to do the job they are getting paid for. Lazy and unprofessional is the best I can describe them right. Thanks Angie!!! Now the ER staff on Sunday was half descent. I arrived by ambulance and they had tried to start and IV and we’re not successful. The young lady in the ER who started my IV was the rudest I’ve experienced in a while. My veins are not the easiest to find and never will be. She stuck me 3 times in one spot and had the audacity to get an attitude. She better be glad I wasn’t feeling good because she would have been cursed out and embarrassed in front of everyone. Needless to say her incompetent behind inserted it into my thumb. No one could use that IV site once I was admitted and it infiltrated. I will say people dealing with the public need to assess their attitudes before clocking in.
This hospital may be good for an emergency but I’d look elsewhere for surgery. After having surgery for a hernia here less than a year later my wife is having another because the “patch job” wasn’t sufficient. Now we’re having to go to Emory to have it done correctly this time. We should have done that from the start.
This is the worst hospital EVER!!! My daughter was brought in by the ambulance, and she was sat in the waiting room at 9:00pm and we sat until 7:00am the next morning all to be told other people had more important issues and others are waiting since 7:00pm. The level of concern is terrible and their sense of urgency is lacking. It would’ve made sense if they setup a fast track side for smaller issues to get resolved and set the other side up for more serious issues rather than move everyone through the same section and juggle patients around according to what they feel are more important cases. If you want to stay 24hours in the waiting room, feel free to go to this hospital ED!!
This was my first time ever coming out here to the Piedmont in Fayetteville. I do believe that I love this location, They seemed to be fully staff and the emergency room wasn't even that packed I guess for that certain day. It's a little bit of a drive from where I live. But I think I'll start going to my doctor's visit out this way. And you don't even have to pay for parking. But I do advise that you get their way early before your appointment so you can find a decent parking spot because they will get filled really quick.
Correcting:This is a good hospital. With two family members who visit frequently we've become familiar with the staff. Nurses and doctors alike are good. Whether going for an appointment or the ER, THIS IS MY HOSPITAL OF CHOICE
I have literally been sitting in the emergency department for over 5 hours with chest pain and upper abdominal pain on the right side. The pain is so bad I literally have to cry to get through it. The staff is very rude and nonchalant. I had a young Caucasian girl rip the cords from the EKG MACHINE off me because I was crying. Then I asked if they seen anything she said if they did they would of pulled me to the back. On top of that she rolled me to the furthest spot away from where I initially was because her coworker stated my crying was annoying and she already came in having a bad day. This is HORRIBLE EXAMPLES OF PROFESSIONALISM. I have seen vets treat animals better than this!!!!! I'm disgusted and will never come back here.
Sat in the ER from 11:48 PM until I left unseen by a doctor at 8 AM. A lady was severely vomiting passed out and no body bothered to get her anything to stop her vomiting or try to get her to the back. She even left. I asked nurse to help me understand results from blood drawn and rudely replied "YOU CAN'T READ AND SEE THE RESULTS ON MY CHART!". Well dummy i evidently am not a doctor and don't understand the jargon. Worse service ever at an ER. I have been to Fayetteville several time in emergency cases and had great service but this here has made me decide to never go back.
