"Piedmont Newnan is a 167-bed, acute-care, community hospital in Newnan, Georgia. Piedmont Newnan is a cornerstone of wellness as the only acute-care facility in Coweta County. I had an unexpected visit to the ER yesterday. I was VERY pleased with my visit. I checked the Piedmont site for ER wait times and found that Piedmont Newnan had a 4 minute wait. Check in was easy and I was called back in less than 15 minutes. The staff and medical team were very kind and quick to complete all assessments. I felt comfortable and all of my questions were answered without feeling rushed. Thank you to the team especially Alyson PA and Chrissy Nurse. Your time and dedication are GREATLY appreciated.
I wanted to give them a five star so badly! I am a triple negative breast cancer patient I am actively in treatment at Piedmont and the cancer center. I’m having some financial situation and needed to pay a little bit on my bill. Little did I know that the little bit I paid wasn’t enough and they decided to send two of my bills to a collection agency. I didn’t know it was being sent to a collection agency until the collection agency called me. And then I called Piedmont and they said oh yeah, we sent those there even though I had paid the money for them but apparently they took the money I paid and paid something else with it. That’s OK they do have record of it. However , if you are going to treat someone that is actively in cancer treatments and getting ready to have surgery.… Like this… I don’t know if I want to have surgery with you or do any more business with you. If there’s anyway you can go to any other hospital to get any of your treatment done please do so. This place has bad billing practices. They need to learn how to treat human beings.
My experience was at Piedmont specifically Maternity. The staff was very attentive and friendly from the moment we walked in. The staff was very helpful, the nurses were knowledgeable and quick to answer our questions. The transparency of the staff made it very easy to communicate our needs. Our baby was born with no complications and the surgery went as planned. I am grateful for the nurses, their attention and the way they handled our stay. I would recommend this hospital and rank it as the top of the ones I’ve had to stay at. I can’t thank the staff enough for everything they did after our delivery. My only suggestion, better food for recovery. Most of the food we received was very low budget.
Piedmont Hospital of Newnan is a wonderful hospital. The experience I had on July 6th from the front office staff, nursing staff, surgeon, and anesthesiologist are ALL amazing! Thank you Dr. Scalamogna and the team for a successful surgery and road to mending.
This is the worst hospital I've ever seen. They are putting patients in closet size rooms with no bathrooms and charging insurance companies for hospital rooms. You cannot open the door completely. There are no windows. It's worst than a jail cell. This has to be made known to the public. I would like to notify a local TV station. It deserves a negative star. I will be contacting my insurance company.
My mom was in the care of this hospital for about 4 weeks plus until she died. The ICU doctors were not on the aggressive side. My mom suffered a massive stroke in the ICU. I feel like don't stop here go to Grady or somewhere else downtown. They Grady have doctors that work aggressively on the weekend and don't shutdown on the weekend like those doctors do. Life don't stop on the weekend. Would not recommend.
READ!!!!!!!!!! I would like to start off saying this is the absolute worst hospitaler staff I’ve ever visited. The staff at the er front desk don’t look at you, they are rude and dismissive. They treat you like a problem. These people went to school all them years to be a professional in this profession and still behave like hooligans. They breathe hard in your face like the conversation is so tiring to them!! This place needs a serious revaluation with the people they hire! Stacy was rude to me on the phone she didn’t want to give me her name but I figured it out anyway. Stacy hung up on me when she got irritated with me asking a couple of questions. They are careless people… they shouldn’t be nurses they should work in the trucking field with that bad attitude. Never come here for an emergency. The surgery team is poor. Just go to Grady.
Good for an emergency but you’re better off getting surgery somewhere else. Gall bladder surgery turned into a hernia surgery a few months later and then another Piedmont doctor just couldn’t get that right. So now we’re off to Emory to have it done correctly.
This is a wonderful hospital! The doctors, nurses and staff are so friendly, informative, caring and helpful. I came into the er Monday, was seen in less than 30 minutes and taken back a few minutes later. I was in terrible pain from complications with a surgery I had in another hospital last week and the doctors and nurses were able to get my pain under control, they admitted me, ran tests the following morning and figured out what was wrong. It is now Thursday, I am still here but feeling 100x better and hopefully going home soon. Thank you Peidmont in Newnan! EDIT**I have seen the bad reviews for this hospital and all I can think is the people with good experiences aren't as quick to post. I also brought my young son here several years ago when he broke his collarbone jumping on the trampoline and we were treated quickly and wonderfully, the staff was professional, caring, knowledgeable and kind. Every experience I personally have had with Peidmont in Newnan has been worthy of 5 stars and they are definitely my family's choice for medical care!
One of the WORST HOSPITALS EVER!!! Especially if you’re Black. The Emergency Room Staff are very rude and unsympathetic. They clearly make a difference between black and white patients. The Doctor will tell you one thing then the nurse will come tell you nothing the doctor told you. This place should be closed. To all black people beware before you come to this hospital!!!
