I'm a retired USAF member and was in town to visit family for a couple of weeks so we stayed in the Temporary Lodging Facility. The staff was awesome and the apartment was clean, spacious, quiet, secure, full of amenities, and exceptionally priced. Pine Oaks Lodge lives up to the reputation of Air Force lodging - if you know, you know. Highly recommended.
Great stay! Overnighted here on our way north. Personnel at check-in were professional and friendly. Cassandra was awesome with our reservation. Room was clean with an excellent view of the golf course. Got in early and went to the museum of aviation.
Give a fair warning to anyone who comes and visits that there will be cockroaches in your room most likely. As far as Air Force Base housing goes, it’s the normal Barricks with two rooms and one shared bathroom with the sinks in each room, along with one large living area.
This is a "0" rating, deserves no rating, tried to spend my money with the military to support the services. I stayed here 1 night during the Cherry Blossoms Fest last yr. Easy check in & great rate for military lodging, customer service was on point, other than that absolutely a no go. Old, bed hard, I didn't see any bugs, not sure what else to say about this place. They need to tear down and start over. I slept in my sleeping bag on top of bed zipped up, not a good sleep, should have left, it was late at night. I did talk to the front desk to switch rooms, it was a little better. I will say housekeeping does keep it as clean as possible, they can only do so much. I personally wouldn't stay for free. There. Done. SMH.
I'm shocked this place even has more than a 3 star rating. This motel is so obviously old, you would think management would care enough to at least do some renovations. It's clear that management here is cheap and greedy. They don't really care about guest satisfaction because they know they will always have business being located on a military base. The rooms are dusty. The bathrooms have weird plumbing and lighting. I'm reading other reviews about bed bugs too??? Ugh, this place is honestly a disgrace! I could find plenty of other nicer motels off base for the same rate they charge. If I could give 0 stars I would! Just pathetic!
If you trying to have a good sleep and a clean bed, this is not a place to go. Rooms have bedbugs, you can find hair all over the bathroom and your bed. For the money you pay here, you can get a way better service in Holiday inn or Hampton inn offpost. As soon as you walk in the lobby, you feel like you’re back in 50s and it’s not because of design of this place but because it’s didn’t change since 1950s. Cockroaches there have more rights than you. So if I could put -5 stars, I would. But unfortunately Google reviews doesn’t let you do it. DO NOT GO THERE!!!!
I tried really hard to be nice about the situation but they forced my hand. My room was crawling cockroaches and I asked for a new room. They could not provide one so I got an NA to go off base. They still charge me for that night! Now I’m out of pocket for the other hotel. Poorly handled.
I wish I could give a better rating but the condition of the room I stayed in for two weeks was not very good. The staff was very nice and friendly but the building I stayed in was very out dated; shower couldn't keep a constant comfortable temperature, killed a few cockroaches and bunch of spiders, a/c didn't work and was never fixed after I told the front desk, the water pipes and refrigerator were very loud at night, wifi was pretty slow, bed was your typical AF base bedding, and the list goes on. Did not enjoy the stay at this hotel at all. There clearly is worse conditions than this but you still expect better when it's something you are paying for. Hope the base puts money into updating soon.
I will give the staff a 5, but the facility itself basically looks like most AFB lodging, but we were put in a building that we found out the next morning, was just opened up that day and the rooms had damp floors and bedding, there was no amenities like coffee pot, or fans. The walls and building itself had cobwebs, the walls were absolutely dirty and the morning we checked out we were a few minutes past 11am checkout, and the front desk called and asked if we had checked out yet and I said we would be out within 10 minutes at the most, then about 3 minutes later the one rang again and my husband answered and said my wife said she just talked to y'all and then she said if we were not out in the next few minutes, they would charge us for another day!!! We are both long-term veterans, my husband 100% disabled vet, and we have been to many AFB lodgings and NEVER have we basically been threatened, and had been put in such a run down place or treated so poorly by the morning staff.
I expected for these rooms to be upgraded and/or nice. For Air force standard, I was highly disappointed. I went with a group and one of the members in our group had bed bugs in his room, instead of refunding him for his first nights stay, they asked him to stay with someone else so they could spray. The furniture was outdated and I had to call several times to get a copy of my receipt. At one point when I was calling, the operator said the phones were disconnected. When I finally did get a hold of someone it was the cleaning service and she said she would try to get a hold of someone at the front desk. Just not what I expected.
