I have never heard of the lodge before my mom became a resident there and, I must say that its a beautiful clean place with a very knowledgeable and,friendly staff. I generally always hate when I have to leave mom there at the end of my visit but,just knowing how well she's being cared for is a blessing. We as a family are appreciative for everything that the lodge represents.
The.facility is very nice. There were a couple of really nice nurses/techs, I wish I knew their names because they were very good. The others…not so much. Many are cruel to the elderly in need. I witnessed that more than once. I don’t feel that the overall stay there was beneficial to the patient I visited. Again, the facility is excellent but they really need more good staff.
The Lodge is amazing all the way around.. I love it and the best part is that my love one LOVES it. He's always smiling and having fun with the staff.. Everyone is so professional. I'm so glad I chose this loving place for my grandfather.
Pamela @ Front desk was very helpful. When I arrived @ Room 314, Carole 's Lunch was delivered to her. The Lady bringing her lunch Tray was very polite. Thanks for being wonderful to our family and friends. God bless Marti
Well today is another one of those days where there is no one answering the phones. My mom seems to be coming along. But I still take issue with there not being some kind of system in place to insure that families can contact the facility and talk with someone regarding their loved one. I mean they're are no phones in the patient rooms so you should at least be able to contact staff on a consistent basis. Patients can't even call family... No phones in the rooms! Family can't call patient. No phones in the room! Family can't reach staff because no one answers the phone! This needs to be corrected!
I could give this facility 5 stars if they would reduce two issues: 1 patients need phones in the rooms. They need to be able to have some form of communication with family who can't come on a regular basis so they don't feel isolated. And nurses and the staff should be required to have a cell phone with them at all times so that family can contact them regarding their loved ones. Most times they are unavailable and messages are left that may or may not receive a return phone call. 2. there should be some type of fall risk management for patients who are at risk of trying to get up and move by themselves. They should not have to fall and rely on someone to come in and find them on the floor. This is a rehab facility and should be equipped to prevent hazardous situations and further injury. I found this place on Google when my mom was needing rehabilitation services. It is a clean facility. My mom is being taken care of so far, so the people are nice and kind but that's only when you can talk to someone. The signs indicate that you can call during business hours or you can visit after by just calling the number. However, I have difficulty getting someone to answer the phone. When I'm told that I'll be transferred. I'm transferred to no one answering. It seems that when someone is away from the desk, no one else is available to answer the phone. I've been trying for couple of days to confirm my mom's meds and never not been able to talk with anyone. In my opinion they seem to be under staffed. So when checking on patients, there is no one else available to accept calls from family, especially after 6pm. Today, I requested to speak with a nurse, and I was told they would call me back. No one did. I called again and this time transferred to someone who was not available and left a message. No success in getting a call back.
Who ever handles meals she have a list choise for breakfast, lunch and dinner that the person at rhe facility can choose. My mother n law doesn't like cold cereal. A very clean facility with a great staff.
There was only 1 problem. Clothes were taken to be cleaned thank you & the resident didn't know they were taken. Problem was QUICKLY resolved and the laundry lady knew the exact clothes!
Have safety devices on bed and floor for residents that have a high probability of falling. No odors in rooms or hallway. Decorated for Christmas! Need to keep oral swabs at bedside for those not eating or drinking.
Please water the plants in her room. Thank you. Otherwise great job. Everyone seems friendly and kind. They do their jobs well taking care of their patients.
