The best library for kids I totally recommend this place. My little one enjoy spending time here.
Great place to do some research and get a quick workout!
This is going to be one of my two favorite public library. First of all is located in an area that I love which is Pinecrest and the parking was free, you know how much I love that! Second the service was fantastic everyone helped me and I feel super nice working there. And third, this library was very organized and I was able to work on the computer and then print as I usually do.
Clean and has a good selection of books and movies. The chairs are not terribly comfortable for long term studying. The chairs are basic wood chairs with no support. Also, as has been mentioned plenty of times, it’s hard to get work done here without headphones to block out the sounds of the children running and screaming in the library. Also the main seating section is used as a private tutoring area in the afternoons so the area isn’t conducive for studying or reading with all the noise.
A beautiful place to work, with a gorgeous tree-lined parking lot and plenty of spaces except for event days, get there early because parking may be scarce. The interior is well-lit and peaceful, even when buzzing with activity. One of busiest libraries in the Miami-Dade system and for good reason.
Saturday August 4 after 2:00pm we visited the Pinecrest Library in Pinecrest Gardens, it seems very well organized and the lady in the section on children was very kind, we are new in the neighborhood, my husband wanted to become a member, we headed June at the admissions window she was very rude and uncooperative. There was an excellent selection of books to buy, I chose 8 books, very good reading and collaborated with the library, again June or whatever it is called dark hair and glasses, beyond rude, the library does not receive credit cards in the era of Covid19 ,luckily I had cash, but June refused to give me change. I put down the books. I told her that she was not being friendly, that I did not feel welcome, she cared very little, she stayed like a statue of salt, she didn't look for any help in this regard, I will send a letter of complaint to the President of the library.
In terms of a library, it has a good selection of reading material, and the books are in fairly new or good shape. The language learning section is vast for a branch library, which impressed me. The staff seems to be on first gear. When I asked where the language learning materials were, the ladies looked at each other as if wanting the other to get up to show me. When I went to print something from the computer, there was no paper. I asked a lady, and she looked like I woke her up from a nap. I know that she was awake. I'm just using that as a figure of speech. She directed me to the Information desk, where there was no one to be found. I asked another lady, and she wasn't looking like she wanted to help, either. If you are 100% self reliant and enjoy the echoes of little children's feet running because there is no rug anywhere which creates amazing acoustics, then this library is for you. If you are comfortable with the slow pace of the staff, then please frequent this branch. I'd give this place only one star all for the dreadful quality of service, but the material selection made it a little better plus the fact that it's a decently clean establishment.
I am glad the Pinecrest Library is open. My grandkids love to checkout books. The library looks different since they are making every effort to keep up with the COVID 19 guidelines. It is a clean, and safe place to visit and enjoy with the kids during the summer.
The librarian at the front desk Short, dark hair, glasses on 10/11/18 was beyond rude! When I asked her about a book that I reserved, she had an attitude because I reserved it a week ago. She threw the book across the desk and said "done" instead of handing me the book like a normal human being. I thought that she only had a problem with me, but no! She was rude to everyone else that came to the front desk as well. It's not my fault that you hate your job!
Nice aesthetic. Not pleasant to study because it’s full of kids screaming.
