Pinewood Elementary is committed to providing a high-level education to students in grades K-6.
The first lines of the Pinewood Elementary School student creed are:
“I will make education my number one priority.
I will be the best that I can be and achieve at my highest level . . . ”
The heart and soul of the student creed permeates Pinewood Elementary School. It is more than just a motivational saying: It is an essential part of the culture of the school.
Dedicated staff and extraordinary volunteers lead the way for children to experience the creed everyday. And when caring adults make education a priority and doing one’s personal best a daily habit, students thrive.
Pinewood is a magnet site for Elkhart Community Schools’ High Ability Program known as “PEP” (Providing for Excellent Potential). Here, students who display above-average learning potential are given extra opportunities to shine academically and socially. The presence of these bright children and their involved parents are a key component to success for all in the school.
Elkhart Schools welcomes the community to the Pinewood Elementary Facebook Page. ECS has created this Page to engage our community in an informative conversation about what is happening in our schools. We intend this to be a family-friendly forum where people can ask questions, share what is going on in their schools and learn more about what is happening in Pinewood Elementary.
