This is a wonderful bank! In a time where customer service doesn’t seem to exist, this bank DOES it! Branch manager Matt and teller David both Rock! You will feel like the most important customer they have. Every employee is helpful, pleasant and personable. If you are not banking here, you should!!!
Branch Manager Matt is bipolar and scares customers into closing their accounts in cash. He sits in his office, playing on his phone. Then sleeps in the back all afternoon. He removed tellers, who now sit in the lobby on their phones. This creates a line at the drive thru and in the lobby. Regional Manager Russ is rarely in his office and stares at his phone when there.
Do not bank here. They were bought out and now they can’t get user names and passwords issued correctly. I’m constantly having to call to have them send me my info. Also, when you own a business and checks are high, they’ll put them on hold when they never used to be. You will have to wait for the release of the funds though when you signed up, you’re told that yes, high numbers won’t be a problem even if it’s a business cashiers check from Chase, cleared and then deposited as if the money may not be available. If it wasn’t available then the bank wouldn’t have issued the check. Furthermore, you have to APPLY for a replacement debit card for YOUR OWN bank account when there’s fraud and Sunflower closes your card. That’s right. You just apply to access your own account. They make it impossible to access your own money and to do business. Sadly, they make Chase look amazing and that’s hard to do.
Hmmmmm…….i posted a very, very bad review of Sunflower Bank within the last two months and for some reason it dissappeared. A teller at Sunflower Bank took 5000.00 from my personal checking account at a DIFFERENT bank without me knowing about it. I brought it to the attention of the Sunflower branch manager and he laughed. He thought it was funny. WTH??? Prior to that i made a large commercial deposit and it was apparently held without my knowledge for over THREE weeks. No explanation from the bank. No apology, norhing. I didnt notice until purchases were being declined on my debit card. It is interesting to find out that they possess the ability to remove reviews. This place is horrible!!!
I had a lovely experience, the staff was very tentative and welcoming. The branch manager, Matt, helped me a ton:
First of all, it pains me to write bad reviews but this bank almost made us lose land we had under contract because they decided to change their minimum down payment from 20 to 25% less than 24 hour before the scheduled closing & forgot to tell us they had quoted us 20% down. We had to scramble and find another bank to close the loan all other banks only needed 20% by the next week so we didn't lose it! I have been selling real estate for many years & also as an investor I have bought many properties & have never seen or had this happen to us before by any bank. This was completely unprofessional & I would never wish for anyone to have to go through this stress! Don't get a loan with these people!
Very friendly staff. Nice to be able to walk in and be recognized at once. I have had issues were I have had to call and prod them to release funds that should have been credited days or even a week before. But as a whole, it has been a pleasant experience banking with them.
Sheila Cook is Top of the line Banker for ever
Their online banking is so secure you can't get to your own money. It is a pain in the....neck. I will say these folks are nice, but banking here is very inconvenient.
Matt and Sheila are excellent bankers.
