Not my favourite, nor is it my first choice- but if your goal is to just get out on the water and try to beat the heat its obviously a close and easy choice from spokane. Roughly a 20 minute drive to this lake. The ramp itself makes it easy to drop kayaks in however the water and bugs leave much to be desired. Definitely a bit swampy with lots of plant life in the water and this lakes pretty well renowned for swimmers itch. I know lots of people come to swim, cliff jump, and fish. Enjoy it if you want! Will still come back when we just need somewhere close to drop into.
Visited the cliffs for the fourth of July, and had a good time. Great view for fireworks. The cliffs are just to the right of the boat launch in Medical Lake. Water wasn't terrible and the amount of people earlier in the day might be too much for some people.
Small lake 20 min off I-90, strict fishing rules so make sure you only have single barbless hook or fly-fishing. Bass and trout with decent bank fishing.
Drove by boat launch around 10am & it was closed. Longer walk to cliff jumps from park. Not sure if u can park on street. Didn't see any no parking signs.
Beautiful place !!! Just needed a place to stop and stretch out from a long day of driving and what a peaceful spot it is!!!
I'm biased on this one. I grew up here, so it nostalgic. Reality though, it's kinda a swamp, Lol. Good place for bbq though.
Best fishing in a great lake. I've seen several Eagles fly over the lake.
Great place to swim and picnic kids play area and right on the beach.
