Through the generosity of local donors and the Sherwood Trust, pickleball at Pioneer Park will now be realized.
Through the combined efforts of the WWPA fundraising committee and generous donation of the Sherwood Trust, we reached our goal of $127,000 for the creation of 6 pickleball courts at the historic Pioneer Park in downtown Walla Walla. Like many other small communities in the Pacific Northwest, the popularity of pickleball has exploded.
We are excited to offer this recreational venue to young and old in Southeast Washington. Ground breaking was July 1, 2015 with a projected completion date in late August.
Coming soon, the sweet sport with the sour name!
