The sites were large, and the bathrooms were very clean. The playground was a big hit with the kids! Certainly would camp there again, especially with the river views!
Clean, easy to find, nice site, quiet. Restrooms were impressively clean. Staff member who greeted us wasn't too friendly, but that didn't ruin our stay. Hiking trails beautiful, nice location by the river. Would visit again. Stayed August, 2020.
The grounds are well maintained, bathrooms are very clean and the people are very nice. It is wooded with grass and has a good size lots per rv. It has full hook up and also rustic camping and electric and water campsites. You can bring your dog too. The price was a fair $40.00 a night. I would reccomend this park.
Average campground. Okay for lodging purposes if you plan to spend most of the time traveling. River sites should be designated just like regular sites as they don't offer a great view or access. Bugs and mosquitoes were problematic along the woodline. Lots of train noise throughout the day and night. Nice playground area.
Very nice park by the escanaba river. Beautiful pines, playground, frisbee golf, inexpensive. Little bit of noise from the road but not that bad.
I loved this park. It is so close to Escanaba or Gladstone. You can hit the beach at either location. Great disc golf on site... Showers and restrooms were clean. They were doing construction on the bridge when we stayed but that should be finished by now. Great views of the night sky without much light pollution. :
Great park. Pretty quiet, clean and friendly. Good prices too. Play areas for the kiddos, clean good size showers. Kayaking is possible and firepits are nice. Lot accommodates pretty large campers, trailers and fifth wheels. 2nd yr there for us and will go again.
The campground itself was nice, lots of trees, water and electric hook-up, separate dump station, the lots are on grass, so not sure how they are when it rains. My gripe is with other campers. The camp ground is very full. It's 11:00 Saturday night and we can hear music, loud voices, and motorcycle moving about. It wakes up our puppy and causes her to bark, which keeps us awake. I don't see it improving any time soon. Same story Friday night, but the campground was not so full. I know I sound like a grouch, but it would be nice for people to be considerate of others.
Great sites and staff. Very reasonable. We had a really good time there, so did the dog!
We spent the first night of our trip to Spokane, WA from northen Michigan. Very nice park. Would consider staying there again when we have more time or Escanaba is our destination.
