Nice campground. Lots of long term however everything is well kept and clean. Nice picnic grounds with a stream. Lots of well kept grassy grounds. The gravel sites are on a pretty good slope. The gravel pad could be a little wider. It took us a few tries to get even but we did it. Lots to do in the area, ie Appalachian trail. It would be a great place to stay while visiting the area.
Nice small campground just off of I 81. The hospitality was a 10. She even called to check on us because we were late and then waited for us to arrive after 11pm. I would definitely stay there again.Service: 5/5
Great campground just off of 81 by junction with 77. Very friendly and gave a nice military discount. I paid $45 for a single night with 50 amp and water and sewer. New rv and I forgot my leveling blocks. Most of other spaces were pretty level and mine looked like a recent storm washout. I would definitely stay here again. Spacious camp site. 34 foot super c.
This park has seen a lot of great upgrades. The road going into the park is nicely paved. Previous reviewers mentioned a long and scary drive in, that is no longer true. You can still hear some traffic but it wasn't loud enough to bother us or our sleep. They upgraded their wifi. While it isn't stellar I have found that none really are it is better than most. It was enough to stream Netflix. The great part of this park is the people. They are friendly and welcoming. The woman at the office I regret I don't remember her name was a joy. She jumps to help when needed but also take the time to be friendly to their guests. Overall a great park. If I had any complaint it was that they didn't have any extended stay sites left. I would recommend for overnight and extended stays.
Nice location. Right off the main highway. Easy to get to and navigate. Management was very nice and easy to work with. Has access to river for fishing, only downfall is there is not really anything for kids to do here and the lots are kind of small. But overall a very nice campground with a great Pavillion for large groups to gatherRooms: 2/5
This campground is in a very convenient location. The owner is very friendly and check-in procedure was fast. My only complain is that the water in electrical connections are very far apart see photo so we use an extension cable to connect the electricity. The connection did not allow us to use AC and another appliance.Rooms: 4/5
We stopped overnight in our 5th wheel. Pretty RV park with rabbits and groundhogs in the big open area. Tye pace is clean and well maintained. We won’t hesitate on stopping on way back.Location: 5/5
Great place, service, and price. It was quite and had full service. There was wild life all around for a plus. Showers and bathrooms were clean. I would stay here againService: 5/5
Beautiful RV park. Level sites with full hookups and 50 amp electrical. Fire pits and new picnic tables. Very clean. We have a class A motorhome and appreciated the pull-through site after a long drive. Highly recommended. Discounts for military, AARP, and Good Sam. Playground: Some playground equipment near the river. Very pretty for picnic. Picnic area: Beautiful spot for picnic by the river.
We stayed here almost a year. Me and my husband and several more family members were on other lots. It’s a BEAUTIFUL CAMPGROUND, clean, well kept grounds, loving and caring staff and owners. Lanie is the best. She knows her responsibility and the ropes of the business and so very sweet. Trish touched me deeply at every conversation. She went EXTREMELY BEYOND any responsibility after we moved out and mailed a package to my new address and wouldn’t accept the $ it cost. Not to mention giving us our last 4 days there free. It was already tough leaving this remarkable area and if we’re ever in the area again Pioneer Village will DEFINITELY BE OUR CAMPGROUND again! There’s also a beautiful clear water natural creek running along the entire campground. Swimming, floating, fishing, relaxing and viewing is a MUST
