Visited Pj's Lobster House in the heart of downtown Port Jefferson and was completely captivated! The atmosphere is adorably charming, capturing the essence of the town perfectly. The service was impeccable — genuine, friendly, and attentive. Now, let's talk about the food: the Alaskan King crab legs were a mouthwatering delight, and the lobster was cooked to sheer perfection. A five-star dining experience that shouldn't be missed!
We were waited on by Sandy who was hospitable and welcoming. We ordered the firecracker calamari, lobster roll with a side of fries and cole slaw and the Surf & Turf special. Absolutely delicious!! I would return again if ever I was in the area. *sidenote: daily metered parking is available in the back lot of the restaurant at $1/hour or you can elect to park elsewhere for free. Kid-friendliness: There are options for kids in addition there is a park within walking distance
A bit pricey for what it was. No flavor in the hot lobster roll which I was soo excited for. Coconut shrimp was also not amazing. I understand it was busy but the service was not the best. We had only 2 small plates for 4 people for bread and apps, then no one came and took glasses or the app plates away on the tiny table so it was full and messy. Plus the food being sub par, was not the best experience. Was really looking forward to enjoying some good lobster rolls. Looks delicious. For $32+ for a lobster rolls at least could have good cole slaw. Only thing I enjoyed was the fresh bread and fries
Yummy yummy yummy best lobster place on Long Island or quite possibly in New York for that matter. Staff is friendly and prompt, and the food is absolutely delicious! This is coming from a long time lobster lover…the bisque is thick and creamy, the shrimp cocktail is very fresh, and the lobster well of course it’s excellent. They also have great desserts so you basically roll out of the place. Price is reasonable considering what you’re getting and they do have a lot of specials as well. Try it you’ll love it.
Great place for fresh seafood, the restaurant has nice decor and the staff are friendly. The portions are good . My favorite was the lobster rolls the lobster meat was fresh and the bun was soft, comes with butter as a dip. We also ordered the calamari which was fresh and tasted good. Overall great experience.
Came with a large group of about 12 and was really pleased with the service. Our group ordered a ton of appetizers and they arrived pretty quickly at the table. The crab legs were awesome! I also had the lobster bisque soup, it was good but on the thicker side. By the time dinner came I was pretty full but had the hot lobster roll. It was STUFFED with lobster, however it was just slightly dry. Still ate it though! Great beer choices, too!
Yesterday my husband and I had lunch at PJ Lobster House for the first time and we had an excellent experience! The restaurant is beautiful, and the menu is full of excellent options! The service was very attentive and fast, and the food was excellent! My husband had a very tasty cheeseburger with pickles and a good portion of crispy fries! I don’t remember the price, but was something very regular. I had a combo with large, juicy, flavorful Lobster, with 12 large shrimps, a Lobster Bisque, steamed veggies, and fresh salad: all for $55!!!! I have leftover for my lunch and dinner today. It was definitely the most delicious and big meal I've seen in recent times, even in much more expensive restaurants! I recommend that you treat yourself to a visit to this gem of Port Jefferson!
Nice day in Pt Jeff. Not humid finally . Asked for outdoor seating. Food was amazing. Killed 3 loavesround of the bread, served warm..always a hit. Lobster rolls, cold and hot, Mediterranean salad, crabcakes and of course the raw Oysters. Oysters were just perfect. Cold, sweet, tender, and perfectly clean. Our bad for sitting outside when yellow jacks most active.
We visit Long Island to see family and were finding a good bite to eat. PJs Lobster house is where we ended up at. The staff here especially our waitress was very nice! We didn't feel rushed and she was very patient with us as this was our first time here. We did the dinner for two special for 85 dollars. Pretty good deal as you get a lot of food so definitely recommend as a good date night spot for two. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because my meal wasn't the best flavor wise. I got the sesame encrusted tuna. Big portion but lack of flavor. I had to dredge the tuna in soy sauce to even get some type of flavor from the fish and if I ate it plain it just had no flavor and was under seasoned. Other than that I have nothing to complain about! The atmosphere was great and we are looking forward to coming back here!
Excellent all around. We sat at the bar, and they were slammed with business. Everyone was nice even though it was very busy. Sandy at the bar was attentive, friendly, and right on top of everything, even when it was crazy busy. Food was very good and the atmosphere was just right. Thanks for a great night!Food: 5/5
