I walked in today with a bulging vein in my leg. It's sensitive and hard to the touch. It appeared out of no where and made me uncomfortable so I decided I should have a blood clot ruled out to be safe. I am currently a single mom and was unable to find a babysitter for my three children. Even though it's not my idea of a good time, I had to bring them with me. I packed a bag full of snacks, chargers and their video games. We came in and had to see all the children were being great. When the front desk told me they will not see me since I have my kids with me. I explained that all three babysitters were unable to watch them, and my husband was out of the country so I had no other choice. They told me to come back when I had a babysitter. Without even looking at my leg. I have no idea if it's life-threatening or not because they refused to see me due to being a single mother Just because I wasn't fortunate enough to have help.
The ER was a horrible experience every time I have been there. Go to Lubbock if you can. I did, and they wondered why Presbyterian didn’t admit me to surgery especially since I went there multiple times for the same issue. I had to explain to them that this hospital sent me home every time and told me to see a doctor. I had surgery the very next morning in Lubbock after they ran the exact same tests as Presbyterian.
They treated my grandma and myself with such respect! Everyone was kind and communicative throughout the visit. ER staff was awesome and so nice even though they were running their tails off! Med/surg staff were phenomenal, so kind and attentive. Housekeeping were thorough and very nice as well. Everyone explained everything thoroughly to my grandma and myself. I’m very well pleased.
They take so long they don't check up on you constantly they let you sit there till you're basically begging for them to tell you what's going on. You could be having a miscarriage and they are in no rush. Absolutely ridiculous and Portales isn't any better so we're out of choices
Every time I’ve had to call or go to the hospital, someone is always rude. They’re also way too slow. I went at 11 am and didn’t leave until 6 pm. Another time I went at 10 am, didn’t leave until 3 pm; that’s just ridiculous
I don't usually like to leave bad reviews but something needs to change , Be prepared for Under staffed , doctors / receptionists do not have a clue. So far there have been a few deaths due to mal practice from this place. I would take precaution/Pray Clovis Nm and surrounding areas are able to get better preforming doctors. Oh wait they they charged my insurance policy without providing any services =FRAUD. Basically I took off of work for a conversation that could of been over the phone. The Doctor walked in made some quick, simple observations. And that was it no ultra sound, no tests of any sort. The doctor stated she didnt know how to perform an ultrasound and the scheduling was all screwed up. They need to be better trained before being allowed to see/treat patients. She read off the chart on the computer and stated things we already knew. The new OBGYN clinic is a complete joke. They would be better off without one.
I was brought into the ER with a emergency situation and was taken care of immediately. Nurse and doctors checked on me and testing was started before i was admitted. If for anything i will say that it is impossible to get an MRI at night time or on the weekend, but i am sure staffing is limited and they are pretty busy when the are able to staff that department. Everyone was very friendly. When i was discharged i was provided with follow up appointment for a primary and contacts for the treating doctor and nurse in case of questions. I know that the hospital in Clovis is often criticized, but i can truly says that i had a good experience and everyone seemed caring as much as they can, after all i was not the only person in there and they have much more difficult situations to deal with. The hospital staff carries a lot of responsibility and the have a tough job. I am thankful.
If I could give the ER no stars I would. We never saw the attending doctor and the CPN was rude, dismissive, and had a horrible bedside manner. They never told us what was wrong with our son, nor did they treat him for the pain that he was in. They did give him a prescription that we only learned about while reading the discharge paperwork, no one told us. They also stated on his discharge paperwork that he should stop taking a medication that was prescribed by a specialist with absolutely no reason why or a recommendation of a follow up anywhere. Do NOT take your kids to this ER
Staff was kind and considerate when in with a broken ankle and they treated us with kindness and dignity we really had a great experience for such a horrible situation we want to thank the staff
They should be ashamed of there ER. I came because I was worried of a miscarriage and in terrible pain and they put me in a room. I had to ask multiple times what was going on and ask to give a urine sample because apparently they couldn't be bothered. Finally went to the ultrasound tech who was kind. When I got back the er lady, Stacy, got tired of my questions and shut the door. Pushed the nurse button twice with no response. I got no medication or even advice on how to ease the pain they did absolutely nothing. I finally got ready to try and get up and leave without there help but I couldn't get the iv out. Five hours later still waiting for someone to do something. After that experience I would never o back. Not efficient or caring of the patients needs. If patients bother you that badly, go home and find a new job.
