On several occasions I've tried to use the browser and watch YouTube during my workout session and it would not work. I have another gym so the only reason I also keep the planet fitness membership is because the treadmills have the browser where I can watch YouTube during my workout. Also On many occasion the showers were also very dirty. I saw the same hair and trash on the floor in one of the showers for 4 days straight. If your wanting to run a good establishment that people are going to want to pay their hard earned money to please fix these issues. A plus is The staff is nice
I came to work out at 5am which is the hrs of operation that it states for Monday…no one is here at the gym..at least 20 other ppl standing outside waiting to get into the gym. This is ridiculous it’s already bad enough planet fitness claims to be 24hrs but on Monday we can’t workout until 5am! Get better employees who take their job seriously it should be no way that we are paying a monthly fee and can’t use the gym because of lack of employees
I hadn’t been to the gym in a few months, but had been paying the membership. I decided to go today and was stopped after I scanned in because they didn’t have a picture of my ID. The employee Alex told me that it was their mistake and that they should’ve taken a picture of it when I first became a member I’ve been a member since 05/21. This wouldn’t have been an issue, however I didn’t have my ID on me. I was told that I couldn’t stay since I couldn’t provide my ID. I would completely understand if the employee told me that I could stay this time, but next time I would have to bring my ID. Anyway, I decided to cancel my account since I hardly ever use this facility and obviously because how the situation was handled annoyed me. The funny part is that he let me cancel my account without an ID and when I mentioned it he said that I could cancel it because I was able to check in. I guess he meant that me checking in confirmed I was the account holder??? I don’t know. All this to say, if it was an error on your end, then you should give members some grace and allow them to stay and bring their ID next time they come in.

This location is always so clean and spotless and the staff are always so friendly compared to other gyms! I’ve been coming here for years now and have nothing but good things to say! Shoutout my girl Vivian!!! Keep doing ya thanggg
Planet Fitness is a very nice gym and very welcoming to their customers. The gym is very clean very neat and has an array of machines. Staff is really nice and it gives a lot of open space for social distancing. One thing that Jim does not have is saunas which are currently and almost every other gym except planet fitnesses. I think they need to remove some of those tanning beds because they have way too many and put it in a sauna something I can be utilized by everyone. That's one downfall and the reason I don't come often, tanning is not a requirement for health or wealth it is actually one of the reasons for skin cancer.
The manager will harass you. Staff isn’t friendly and they stop you from working out if you use to much weight. There are way better gyms for the same price. Crunch fitness is a much better gym and more are coming to the area. Don’t waste your money here.
Steel my 39 dollars for fees, I didn't use account 6 months because health condition. Trying to cancel 6 months ago, but lady on reception says I must pay big fees because use less then year and contract will stop after year automatic. But they still charge money. Manager Alex says I can move closer to my home my subscription to cancel it in person, but this service for moving account doesn't work too. Spend 2 hours driving to cancel it and loose money. If it will possible I put zero stars or minus stars. Think 10 times to use planet fitness again.
They have a ton of machinery that litterally has not been oiled since they moved from their old location. The manager HARASSED me about my bag which I have a medical clearance for. I have used this bag AT EVERY SINGLE PF in clt except freedom and multiple times in asheville. I have an insulin pen in there and viviane harassed me about the bag. Her time would be better spent oiling her equipment and making sure equipment is put away. This is the worst pf in charlotte and I WILL NEVER go back. Any machine with a cable needs to be oiled. The cable machines are in awful shape and the smiths are even worse. 39 maintenance fee and crunch opening locations all over clt for cheaper you will need to do much better or risk losing members/stockholders
Been coming here for a year now. Sucks to not have access to freeweight benches but everything is always clean and the employees Rock. Alex is the freakin GOAT, he always makes my day with his heartfelt greetings. Dude always has a smile on his face and knows how to make me feel extra special!!
